Located on the Rye Patch estate at 100 Berrie Road, the museum exhibits nine carriages that were once used for trips to the market, outings around town, commutes to and from work, leisurely travel, and even pony breaking. We're excited for the City of Aiken, South Carolina Parks and Recreation and the newest Park! Make sure you stop by and explore Generations Park on your next trip to Aiken! #visitaikensc #southsbest

Saturday, July 14th, located on Columbia Highway North. The grand opening began at 9:00 a.m. with an official ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:00 a.m. Hundreds of residents showed up for the occasion to show their support and have a great time. The event featured its annual Touch-A-Truck, live entertainment, and water slides for the kids, along with the recognition of Mr. Mack Henry Holland by naming the main road after him at the 118-acre park for his dedication to community service.

Citizens in attendance were able to see the completion of phase one of the park which features an amphitheater, playground, picnic shelter, walking trail, and green space for outdoor play. The Extreme Generation playground equipment is the first of its kind in South Carolina. It encourages creative play with rope-course-inspired elements, sky-scraper like towers that are nearly 30 feet tall, unique roof designs, colors, and many different climbers, slides, and decks.
