Are you guys still going the Terry Cypher memorial #2 this year for the modifies.
Randy are there any times put together for this weekend? Guess I must have missed them.
A good start to the day when I can hear hot laps from my office over on Infirmary. Best of luck to everyone at Cavalcade!
Will the October 23-24 event be open for spectators? I've never seen this kind of racing before and want to check it out. If so, what are the times and costs?

As many of you may already know, as well as those of you who don’t, my dad, Earl Goldy has recently been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. This Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma is attacking his intestines, and has made him very sick - leading to multiple surgeries. As soon as we got this information they started chemo right away. This was extremely hard for both my dad and our family since COVID-19 regulations don’t allow anyone in hospitals to have any visitors. My dad, the fighter he is, has so much support from his whole family and from many friends, which we are grateful for. However, he has been going through this more by himself than anything. Recently, his tumors have thrown a wrench into his treatment of chemo as he has had two surgery’s for the blockage from one of the tumors. This set back treatment as it leaves time for his body to heal. Again, he had to go through this ALL BY HIMSELF. Even calling him and FaceTime has been limited as cancer drains anyone. My dad is exhausted, physically, mentally and emotionally. YET he’s still such a fighter day in and day out. He has not given up, although he has days he wants to quit. My mom has not given up either as her life as tilted upside down. Currently he is healing from surgery and was able to start chemo back up. He is returning to daily life activities and has the I determination to start working again soon. That being said, if you know my dad, he would do anything for anyone. He puts others before himself and his personal needs, and he loves doing it. For him, helping people is so easy because that’s genuinely who he is. Even if it meant getting two hours of sleep to go to work for 10 hours the next day, he would help. Although my mom works, my dad is still the main source of income. As you could imagine, since my dad has started treatment in June, he was only home for a short period of time until complications arose and he had to go back into the hospital. The hospital stay was longer than expected but it was what he needed to be able to come home even healthier. He is currently home and we continue to pray he stays strong and healthy during this crazy time! We want to give a HUGE thank you to everyone who has purchased GOLDYSTRONG bracelets, as that money has helped my family tremendously. Here’s how you can help us more!! We are hosting a benefit for my dad. Mark your calendars for September 26th from 2-6 pm and purchase a ticket!!! This will take place in Avon Railroad Brewing Companyhosted by myself, Bob Hoover and Craig Hoover Tickets will be $25 per adult, with dinner and 1 beer or cocktail drink included. If you don’t buy a ticket in advance, but decide to still come, tickets will be $30 at the door. Kids under 18 will be $10 a ticket. Children 5 and under will get in for free. Kids activities and games will also be available. There will be a 50/50 raffle and Chinese auction feel which you can donate baskets! If you decide that you want to donate a basket, first and foremost, it would be greatly appreciated! Second, feel free to contact me Hannah, Bob Hoover or Craig Hoover by texting, calling, or personal messaging here on Facebook, and get your baskets to them no later than Thursday September 24th so we can have everything set up and ready to go! Social distancing will be implemented and the food will be served by a server. You can park at Journey Church across the street from the Brewery if there is no parking available at the Brewing Company! Hope to see you there and if you can’t make it and still want to donate, then you are more than welcome to! We hope to see many of you there and Thank you in advance!

Modified drivers , I have obtained $500 from BA Sweeties Candy Co to add to Sept .5 purse, talking to Randy tonight to see where best to put it, it will not go on the top , Mars Trucking added to the top to make it a $1200 to win event ,please tell your friends and family to visitor the store sometime for great Ice Cream , Candy and Mini golf , glad Mars Trucking and B. A. Sweetie’s could help out this weekend , Thanks to Matt Marlow and Norm Taylor for promoting these companies when out in public, these two Companies have very hard working owners that try to support the local racers and fans. Working on getting some huge suckers out there as well.
We attended the derby tonight and did NOT have the greatest experience. The park does NOT offer a sufficient handicap section. The handicap section that was offered was very small, still had general foot traffic through it, and was put in a terrible location. We were practically in a corner unable to see over the barriers and it was very disappointing. For such a large park, you would think that you could accommodate all guest. Everyone should get equal opportunities to see the events. This issue needs resolved.

The Painesville Speedway

News from our sister track:

The famed Turkey Leg 150 originally scheduled in November has been postponed for Saturday, February 27th! 🏁

Happy New Years Eve everybody!!

We have some news regarding our first event of 2021!

The Turkey Leg 150 was postponed back in November due to Covid restrictions. We finally have a date set!!

Saturday, February 27th we will be going 150 laps Enduro style in the kidney bean!! Mark it down on your calendars and get those cars ready for a Deep Freeze Turkey Leg 150!! 🏁

Santa is here with another HUGE announcement!!

Everyone has had questions about what exactly is the “Spring Comet Classic”. A three day racing event on June 11-13 which now will be headlined by the 2nd Annual Terry Cypher Memorial 87!

We felt it was best to move this prestigious $5,000 to win $500 to start Open Wheel Modified event during this time of year for better weather and to stay off of other tracks big races. We will still do a tire impound, but with a new way of doing it and a new concept on qualifying!

Who will put their names in the record books in 2021? Will Michigan’s Steven Ulman come back South and repeat? Or will a Buckeye state resident take home the hardware? 🏁

Santa just brought a gift to the LRP family!!

You witnessed the “Rona Rampage Derby” this past season. We will have the 2nd Annual Rona Rampage with Derbydog Productions on June 19, 2021. However, LRP, Derbydog and Santa didn’t think that was enough...

We will have the Inaugural Asphalt Assault Demo Derby... ON THE FRONT STRETCH.. on Saturday, October 30th with Derbydog Productions! That’s right, two demolition derby’s in 2021...

Saturday, June 19th - 2nd Annual Rona Rampage - Infield
Saturday, October 30th - Inaugural Asphalt Assault - Front Stretch

Thank you Santa!!! This is going to be awesome!! 💥🏁

Merry Christmas from us to you! Have a safe and blessed Christmas with your family’s!

Sooooo Santa came for LRP too... stay tuned for a few announcements throughout the day 🏁

Our Saturday, April 3rd 6 Hour Enduro now has a name!

“The Race To Escape 6 Hour Enduro”

The theme comes from the track’s nickname “The County”, which is also used as a slang term for jail. Who will escape and take the inaugural 6 Hour Enduro win in early April? We are very excited to host this event and bring Enduro racing in full force to Lorain Raceway Park!

This name and logo was an idea of Left Turn Photo Works’, Brandon Freeman. Very creative and an awesome idea all around! Thank you Brandon for all your help! 🏁

Information such as rules, procedures, purse, etc will be posted in the next few days! Thank you all!!

Happy Sunday everybody!!!
