Incredible day on Mt. Tam!
Great article about the camera traps on Mt. Tam. The mountain is full of wildlife, much of it elusive and/or nocturnal. But these pictures are great. I've seen bobcat, coyote, wild turkey, jackrabbit, interesting snakes, lizards, and newts, and of course deer and lots of birds on the mountain!

sfgate.com Before the Wildlife Picture Index project, gathering baseline data on mammal populations around Mt. Tam was difficult. Tracking and trapping can be too intrusive for the animals, not to mention too rigorous for parks workers.
