🦸🏾‍♂️ Not long ago, Joshua was planning on visiting New York for the first time.

As someone who had only ever experienced the city through movies and TV shows, he was incredibly excited to finally see all the skyscrapers for himself, walk down #broadway, and take in a show at one of the theaters.

👉🏾 Little did he know that his first time in New York would coincide with one of the most momentous occasions in the history of Times Square.

🤩 Your face will light up when you see Times Square.

The bright lights and skyscrapers are a sight to behold, and the area is home to some of the best #Broadway theaters in the city. But did you know that Times Square has a long and interesting history? 🤓

The area now known as Times Square was originally farmland. In the early 1800s, it was developed into a commercial district. The first skyscraper in #NewYorkCity was built in Times Square in 1902. Since then, the area has been a center for modern fashion and popular culture.

🙋🏾 "No. Not going to work," were the first words out of my mouth. I was so close to saying yes, but self-sabotage had struck again...

This self-rejection happens to people more than you'd expect.🆗

We're often our own biggest opposing team and we let ourselves talk us out of #content ideas and projects that could improve life and self-worth.

How to Solve Self-Rejection in Content❓

The same way you solve a self-rejecting personality, you have to do some conditioning, in order to increase #confidence.

➡️ Write more. Daily.
➡️ Trust a source to critique your content.
➡️ Become an expert in your field.
➡️ Invest in #storytelling coaching.

These have proven to work for me.✔️

🙆🏽 I hate getting wrong directions. I know I'm not the only one.

Driving for too long, for example, is tiring & highly annoying. 🚙

📢 The same applies to #content.

And I am talking about websites, emails, reports, at the least.

You see, even though users have clicked on a link, they might not know where they are headed. In fact, many of them will get frustrated with your website's navigation or the email signature banner, if it doesn't lead them in the right direction.

💡In good UX (user experience):

➡️ Keep your navigation in good structure
➡️ Run a broken-link checker
➡️ Customize a healthy "404 page not found" page

Clean it up.✔️

I think healthcare is going to show major value in the metaverse.🆗

Why❓

➡️ Augmented reality will be used for training surgeons to do hands-on surgeries with robots before the robot is even available.

➡️ Virtual reality will be used as therapy, which allows a shorter learning curve because of its "real-time" feedback, and augmented/virtual reality will help us optimize faster.

It is our responsibility to train the new generation of business. But it is also our responsibility to NOT ❌ forget the elderly and aged.

They have given us so much.🆗

➡️Many older people are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to stay active and engaged in society. But there are also many who feel isolated and alone.

Challenge - Find an elderly person you can teach something new about technology (#cryptocurrency, cybersecurity, email, web), and share your results.

I'm the person who has to present digital change.⚡️

📆 Daily.

I change people's ways of doing things at work. I get a lot of resistance. But I also get embrace. One is like hugging Baby Yoda, the other a cactus🌵.

When people are asked to change the way they work, there is an initial reaction💥that takes place. The behavioral changes that take place are called "change blindness."

🎯People will resist change if they don't understand it or SEE how it will help them. If change is coming down from above them without any explanation, they will push back against it.

How do you cure Digital "Change Blindness"❓

Let your left ✋🏽know, what your right one is doing.

If your processes are broken, implementing on top of a mess can augment the problem.

💡So here is a suggestion. Do this RIGHT NOW.⏰

➡️Prepare and deliver your automation expectations to the team before calling your vendors for demonstrations. This can only intimidate people who already resist to change.

👇🏽Then, make sure you follow these steps:

1. Provide a clear path for digital advancement.
2. Give them software training related to their processes.
3. Make sure automation does not remove their jobs.
4. Create an environment where automation is respected.
5. Get on the same page with clear practices.

📢 If these things are done well, your team will be happier and automation will be more successful, and will set the tone for a successful deployment.

Whenever I present the idea of using AI to predict user experience, some people would reply with "why bother?". 🙋🏽

Well, why not? 👇🏾

If we can utilize AI to know user behavior and user preferences, then we should.🆗

Right?

➡️ By next year, it is estimated that there will be over 46+ billion devices connected to the internet. Simply put, those who embrace AI are capable of predicting user experience and other outcomes with far greater accuracy than those who do not. In fact, a study by Forrester found that companies who use AI are 58% more likely to achieve profitable .

Focus on ‘customer-centricity'. The benefits from your AI will be inevitable. ✔️

✋🏽Can you imagine meeting someone for the first time and all of the sudden, you start to share ALL the details of your life?

🗣 You mention everything from what you do for a living, to the problems you're having with your partner, and then some. It can be overwhelming for the other person and it probably won't lead to a very good .

💁🏻Now imagine that instead of talking to this person, you just listened to them. You took in what they had to say without adding your two cents.

It's the same thing with web design. When you bombard users with busy , it's like you're talking nonstop and they can't get a word in edgewise. Not only is it tiring for the user, but it also doesn't help engagement. In fact, when you present busy content to users, you lose more activity.

But how do you listen through your webpage?

Call to Actions.📲

That's why minimalist web design is better than busy content. With less on the screen, users are able to focus on what's important:

➡️Your Message

And when they're not distracted by all the bells and whistles, they're more likely to engage with YOUR content.🆗

A home page does not need to cover every single thing you can offer to your user. In fact, most user testing shows that a cluttered layout mitigates user experience, and it actually encourages people to leave the site or navigate away from an intended page.

That's how you'll see the biggest return on your design.✔️
