Going through Asilia Africa at the Sayari Camp for our first safari was the best decision we could have made. We were blown away by every aspect of this camp, and we are already planning our next trip back. The luxury camping accommodations were out of this world. The food was delicious for every meal. Our guides for the safari were so knowledgeable. And the staff at the camp were sincerely the kindest people we have ever met. I will always recommend Asilia Africa to anyone because it is guaranteed to be amazing. This was the best trip of our lives!
What an amazing adventure. We are eternally grateful to the wonderful Nicole Fernandez for helping us put together the most amazing trip. Thank you so much and we WILL travel with you again. Much love, Joni Hires, Texas
I thoroughly enjoyed working with Nicole on my family's spring break trip to East Africa. She had been a reliable source of information with great ideas as we made significant changes to the itinerary along the way. What we ended up was a solid plan that perfectly fitted our interests and schedule. I had nothing to worry about: we felt very comfortable going into Kenya which we had never visited before. Nicole had been very responsive, patient and resourceful. I'd love to work with her again in the future. Highly recommended!

Regram: “Deadvlei. A pan full of dead acacia erioloba trees that are 800+ years old. Part of the reason they are still standing is because it’s so hot/dry the termites can’t get to them. The dunes also protect them from the winds. So much more Namibia to come but I won’t have cell service or WiFi for the rest of my trip. I forgot what life was like before the internet but I’m kinda excited about it. See you on the flip! 🇳🇦"

Why Malawi Is East Africa's Next Luxury Safari Frontier 08/14/2018

Why Malawi Is East Africa's Next Luxury Safari Frontier

A wonderful story by Michaela Trimble on why Malawi is "quickly garnering appeal as Africa's best kept secret" and credits the incredible work of African Parks and Robin Pope Safaris on the country's resurgence as a safari destination. We are grateful and proud to help put a spotlight on this undiscovered gem.

Why Malawi Is East Africa's Next Luxury Safari Frontier The return of Malawi’s wildlife to protected parks and reserves is just one of myriad reasons discerning travelers are flocking to this landlocked country in southeast Africa.

Toka Leya manager Tk Gonese had this to say about the wildlife in and around camp lately...

"Elephants galore! We have had elephants in camp on an almost daily basis. While there is so much to do 'out there', game viewing in camp has been fantastic. Elephant, hippo, warthog, bushbuck, buffalo and giraffe have all combined to make game viewing from one’s room a treat. And let's not forget the finfoot, goliath herons, bee-eaters, weavers and other feathered characters that are seen darting around camp."

It takes a lot to save a rhino. 11

Incredible work being done to rescue and save Rhinos. You can help by donating to Great Plains Foundation ❤️

Timeline photos 11/28/2017

Today's the day that we can double the support for Rhino's through Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya ❤️

Today on , we are appealing for your support to help enhance rhino conservation on Ol Pejeta. With a population of 115 black rhinos, we are the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa. This year we have had an incredible 15 rhino births on Ol Pejeta. Keeping each of these baby rhinos safe costs us about $10,000 per year.

We are seeking to raise $ 10,000 in 24 hours in support of our rhino conservation efforts. So far have raised 20% of our goal. But there is still a long way to go and we need your help. Please dig deep and consider donating to Ol Pejeta on this global day of giving.

Today is , and you can help Africa’s most precious wildlife. Consider giving to The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Nairobi Kenya. They rescue orphaned elephants, shelter and care for them until they are old enough to be returned to their natural habitat.

Emoli and Maisha, who we rescued from death’s door, within weeks of each other, have become quite the dynamic duo.

This , you can perform a double act of your own: Our generous partners have pledged to match any donation made today up to a total of $250,000. That means that your gift will go twice as far in supporting our conservation work in Kenya! ** Donate now: thedswt.org/giving-tuesday

Every donation makes a big difference. When we rescue an elephant, we don’t just commit to them for a few years - we commit to them for a lifetime. These funds will be focused on our field operations which ensure that orphans like Emoli and Maisha have a safe and spacious wilderness to call home when they return to the wild and start their own families.
