It is a testament to how cool our peeps consistently are. Our transition of Sail SVI to November has been seamless. Tania and I stayed hyper focused on all of the information flowing daily regarding Covid-19 and bumped the voyage soon as it made sense. Everyone was cool and easygoing. And that's what we expected.

Sail with us. Tania and I run flotilla sailing vacations together. Our 3 boat Sail Spanish Virgin Islands has been completely full for months. But here is your chance to join us in our exploration of the SVI in el Carib, March 28 - April 4. She just had a couple cancel (medical), so she has a cabin available. Hello anyone who checks this page!! That's not me—very infrequent visitor to social media—but I have to write today to see if anyone wants to go sailing. We have a super trip planned for the Spanish Virgin Islands, March 28-Apr 4, 2020. The boat filled right away back when all was first organized, but one couple just had to cancel because of some medical issues. We have an empty cabin available, wanna come? You are the first to receive this. If, between you and any friends who might be interested, the boat fills, I will not have to send to rest of list.

Summer is winding down up here in the north and Woody and I put on our thinking caps to figure out another new destination for the winter months that wouldn’t be too complicated. We’ve hit the jackpot, the treasure right beneath our noses. We’re going to the Spanish Virgin Islands—between British Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico—Vieques, Culebra, Culebrita, Caoy Pena, Pamomino, and 28 other uninhabited islands. As Woody says, they look crazy beautiful!! Neither of us has ever been there and are super excited.

March 28-April 4, 2020—holy cannoli, 2020?! That’s a big number.
We board at 5:00 pm, or thereabouts, on March 28, disembark at 10:00 am on April 4.

San Juan airport (SJU) is very easy to get to, and we’ll also be able to benefit from the Caribbean trades. Off the beaten path, easy to get to, bioluminescence, wind, aqua-blue waters, white sand beaches, all this seems to add up to perfection.

I've made a deposit on a catamaran (a Leopard 44), Captain Woody and Adventure Voyaging will have a second, and perhaps third, boat. We’ve booked almost the entire tiny fleet on location because we expect to have another unforgettable experience of wonderful sailing.

The base where we board the boats is Marina Puerto Del Ray in Fajardo, on the East Coast of Puerto Rico. It’s about 35 miles from the airport, easily reached by taxi, or for those who get arrival timing synched, a shared mini bus.

The boat has four double cabins with private heads. The below price includes seven days and seven nights aboard, meals, linens, all dock and fuel charges.

Cost for a double cabin with own head: $5400
Cost for single/shared cabin/head (meaning, you share big bed and/or head with another lovely person): $2800

Quick update on the Spanish Virgin Islands Voyage. The mainland had an earthquake. It was not near the fly in town of San Juan or near the marina with our boats by Fajardo. It was on the south coast around Ponce. Looking forward to sailing with you all!

We're going to Cuba! Anyone want to come along? I have made a deposit on a Lagoon 421 catamaran, for March 2-9, 2019.
Captain Woody and Adventure Voyaging will have a second boat. Together, we will have an unforgettable experience in a truly special country with amazing cruising.

The base where we board the boat is in Cienfuegos, on the south Coast of Cuba, and we will sail east from there up to the Archipelago de los Jardinas de la Reina—the queen’s gardens—and Trinidad, a UNESCO world heritage site. We sailed this same route last year and it was my best charter ever. Nowhere else anywhere near a charter base have I seen waters this clean and full of life and so uncrowded. It’s another time and place, just wonderful. And, Trinidad is a super cool town, too, included in every road tour itinerary, fun to arrive at by sea.

The boat has four double cabins with private heads, and one single cabin with shared head. The below price includes seven days and seven nights aboard, meals, linens, all dock and fuel charges,

We will also take care of expediting all Cuban paperwork—visa and OFAC affidavit. AND, bus transport south from Havana to Cienfuegos, meeting on the morning of March 1, with stops for lunch, a tour of the Botanical gardens and Cienfuegos. Then dinner, the night of March 1 in a Cienfuegos hotel, breakfast on Mar 2 and transfer to the charter base.

Cost for all this plus a double cabin with private head: $5900
Cost for all this plus a single cabin with shared head: $2900

Still available: one full double cabin with head, half a double cabin with head, and single with shared head.
