The duke of fluke is still going strong after 59 years!!!
Always catching on Captain Daves boat!
Captain Dave put us on top of the wrecks for Tog fishing. I caught my first tog ever on this boat! Many shorts, but it was a great trip and I learned a lot from the extremely helpful staff. This is a good Captain and a good boat. Don't hesitate to go anytime.

Fluking picked up big time today! Some nice keepers came up and much better short action, time to dust off the fishing rods and come out! Fishing daily at 8am for fluke!

Fluking was much better today than what it’s been, we through in a bunch of keepers, a weakfish and the short action was the best we’ve seen since the opener. Things are looking up on the fluke grounds come on out we sail 8am every day!

We Just Returned from our 2.5 day adventure with good results, on day one we focused on tile fishing and picked Tiles all day long. Most were able to limit out and the others were close to it. We also landed a BFT on a slow pitch set up which got things exciting! After the day was done we steamed to the beyond over night to start fishing some wrecks and rock piles. In the dark we picked away at some white hake and tile fish. Once the sun came up we began wreck hopping and picked away at some more Hake, found some Barrel Fish and Artem got a surprise snowy grouper!
Congrats to Polanko for winning the Tile fish pool with a 24.4 pound golden and he also won the edible fish pool with a 20.7 pound barrel fish, Job well Done!
Our Next Tile Trip is a Southern Canyon trip Leaving Thursday night May 12th and Returns Sunday Morning May 15.

I looked at the offshore weather forecast and decided to go with plan b, the inshore forecast was nice and I wanted to look over an area. So most guys that were on our offshore trip decided to come with me at 6am instead. Took a little steam and after the anchors were tight the cod started to chew. We ended up with a shot of fish in the morning, picked a few through out the day and had a nice shot in the afternoon. It was a mix of shorts and keepers, High Hook had 6 fish. Things are finally starting to look up for this spring, the water is still a chilly 42 degrees but this is the most life we have seen in our local waters since December.
The boat is sailing tomorrow at 6am, and if you’re not fishing come see Me and Capt. Keith Apman at the Fisherman’s Fleamarket in Babylon Tomorrow!
