The Deosai National Park is located in Skardu, district of Gilgit ... The Deosai Plains are also home to the Himalayan ibex, red fox, golden marmot locally called Phia, gray wolf,
there are two ways to enter Deosai.
One is from Astore and the other one is from Skardu. From Astore to Chilum Choki is 52Km/3Hrs and here upto Sheosar Lake Deosai is ~20Km/1.5 Hrs. From Sheosar Lake Deosai, the jeep road leads to Skardu and it is ~35Km/3Hrs from Sheosar to Skardu.
Sheosar Lake is located in Deosai Plains at an elevation of 4,142 metres (13,589 ft), is one of the highest lakes in the world. Its length is 2.3 kilometres ( 7,500 ft), ...
This is just such an awesome place. Beautiful lush green meadows,amazing river with crystal clear water. Clear blue sky with no pollution. Nice and different wildlife. Amazing people. Camping here is a must
