Catskill Mountain Vacation Cottages

[09/30/15]   We're in the process of renovating a small cottage which would accommodate 2 for a romantic get-away fro the ski season, all year round, or for a quiet retreat. Ideal for someone who lives in the city, but wants to leave on the weekends and have a pretty spot to decompress. Very private; borders on our fields with our wonderful horses grazing in the distant meadow. Pictures soon to follow. Should be ready to go in about 5 or 6 weeks. The property is beautiful, with a view of the mountains. The cottage is one room with a small kitchenette, washer/dryer, completely furnished with lovely country antiques. Wonderful setting nestled in the heart of the Catskill Mountains.

[06/29/15]   WE realize we haven't updated this in awhile, and lots has happened. Our other cottages are rented out full time, but we still have this lovely rental for weekends, week, or longer term. Building was renovated fully and has lots of history. Built in the early 1800s, it has been an inn, general store, Post Office, and even a speakeasy that was frequented by Al Capone. The upstairs in a fully furnished, spacious apartment with its own entrance. The downstairs is used minimally 3 days a weeks as an office. Lovely location close to skiing in the winter and all the great activities in the summer months. Did you know that this area is becoming a great wedding spot? Roxbury has 2 amazing places for a go-to wedding, located on beautiful farms. More pictures to follow.

Catskill Mountain Vacation Cottages

[12/18/13]   Lots of snow. Weekends are filling up as people come up to ski at Belleayre and Plattekill. What a beautiful winter wonderland. Clean, clear air, and the smell of snow. Full moon lighting the landscape as bunnies scamper away.

[04/16/13]   Spring is beginning to unfold here in the Catskills. Streams are flowing, ducks and geese are starting to resettle. Pollywogs are dashing about the pond. One wonders where all these critters go during the deep chill of winter. Our properties all have openings throughout the Spring. The cottage and guest house are rented for the months of July and August. We're coming up to a great time to get away and spend some precious moments in the mountains, as Spring unfurls all her mysteries. Hope to see you.

[02/26/13]   We're thinking renting the Pond House full time. Perfect spot for a second home for people who want to get out of the city and have the beauty of mountains, skiing, hiking and mountain biking. Belleayre and Plattekill Mountains are just minutes away. Would be willing to rent furnished (see photos) or unfurnished. Reasonable rent for 4-5 bedroom house, plus utilities. Denver, NY is located in the heart of the Catskill Mountains, and for those who love the country, but wish to possess all the amenities of civilized life, this is something to consider Let me know if there is any interest.

The former Denver Inn has the feeling of a historic building, yet is completely renovated with all the accoutrements of contemporary life. The apartment is furnished with lovely antiques, has wireless Internet, a fully equipped kitchen (granite countertops), washer/dryer. A separate dining room is great for entertaining. The spacious second floor is approximately 1400 square feet, with vaulted ceilings and lots of light. The house is near the road which provides easy access in winter months, although all of our properties are plowed. Lovely flower gardens enclose the small, terrace-like garden. The apartment has it's own entrance (front door). The first floor is used minimally as a part-time office (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday), which affords privacy for most of the week. This is an unconditionally no pets/no smoking rental.

[02/10/13]   Beautiful weather for skiing. Just the right amount of snow. Sun is shining and skiers are happy. We still have openings n March for the Pond House. Spring skiing at its best.

[02/09/13]   just 8 inches, but perfect for skiing. Powder!

[02/07/13]   Well, it seems as though we'll be pounded this weekend with snow. I hope our renters can get up here and enjoy. I also hope no power outages!

[02/03/13]   We have a lovely cottage with a guest house that is perfect for a full summer rental. Included are guest privileges to a small pool and tennis club less than 1 mile away. Start summer bookings now. We get pretty full.

[02/02/13]   It's really cold out today. Our houses are full, and I hope everyone is happy.

[01/26/13]   Skiers are loving the cold and great base at both Plattekill and Belleayre. It's supposed to warm up a bit next week (it's cold) and some more snow is expected. We're fully booked up on weekends through February. March is still open, and of course the lovely Spring and Summer in the Catskills. We'd like to book up the Pond House for the Summer.
