Beach Life

Heck of a way to kick off October! Happy Indian Summer!

We love to see our young local people in business and filling the east end with their creativity and drive. Check out Hidden Gem's pop up shop in the Amagansett Square. Owned by sisters Tanya and Temidra Willock, these young ladies have literally grown up before our eyes. They have always had wide interests and have worked hard to open their own shop. Stop in to their pop up in the Mandala Yoga space, Wednesdays through Mondays, 10am-5pm and pick up a little something for yourself or home. Shop local!

Pizza Night at Amber Waves is a Saturday night favorite and now you can pre-order yours for an easy peasy weekend dinner! Order yours at and see what else they have on the menu πŸ˜€

It's the last day of summer! Are you sad to see it go or happy to bring on fall? Either way, the beach still awaits, the stores and restaurants are open, and the trails beckon with just a hint of changing color on the leaves. This beautiful end-of-summer ocean image was captured by Juan Gonzalez.

Good morning Gansetteers! What a beautiful, breezy day! Depending on which way the wind is blowing, you might actually improve your mini golf game today πŸ˜€. The Clubhouse is still open for mini golf, call and make your reservation for some family fun: (631) 537-2695. Enjoy this lovely Sunday!

Wishing our friends a very sweet New Year that are celebrating Rosh Hashanah! Sending good tidings for good health, peace and happiness to you and your families. πŸ˜€

Thank you to all you good folks who are continuing to support local businesses! These are new and challenging times for everyone and you are helping to keep our local economy moving forward. Even if you are not in a position to buy anything, follow our shops and restaurants on social media, tell your friends about them, or stop in and see what they've got cooking...everything helps!

We don't know if you have ever been to the Leiber Collection featuring the works of Judith and Gerson Leiber, but it's worth a visit! Located at 446 Old Stone Highway, this collection features the work of the extraordinary handbag artist Judith Leiber and her husband, painter Gerson Leiber. The grounds feature beautiful gardens and often host visiting sculpture. Check it out this weekend - open Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday, 1-4pm or by appointment. (631) 329-3288.

Good morning Gansetteers, what a delightfully cool morning! If you are looking for a little outdoor activity, check out Town Lane Park, our favorite little pocket retreat. This park features the work of abstract artist and sculptor Sasson Soffer. Soffer's larger than life sculpture are peppered throughout the park, which maintains a natural state with the sculptures displaying various states of weathering. Happy Monday! The beach awaits...sunshine, fresh air and salty water...what could be better?

The summer seems to be going by so quickly! We hope you slow down, breathe and enjoy the season despite new challenges presented by COVID. We are all in this together. Shop local, eat local and enjoy local! Beautiful flowers available from Balsam Farms...grown right there in the fields!
