Our vision is that people discover the commonality they share with others all over the world. We want to be the gateway to your cultural travel experience.

In 2003, it was clear to Cheryl that it was time for a career change. But what to do next? It had to be something she would love to do and do at home. The answer was not hard to find. She loves to travel and has been to Jamaica, England, Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania, Barbados, Antigua, Italy, Germany, Holland, Spain, Haiti, Zambia, UAE, South Africa, and even lived in France. She enrolled into the Travel Marketing Program at Los Medanos College, and finished with certificates in Travel Marketing, Home-Based Travel Specialist and Cruise Specialist. While studying Cheryl was spiritually lead to focus on voluntourism or volunteer vacations as a travel niche. For her, this was a perfect match: travel - with a mission to do good. And as the travel industry was embracing this change, she decided to specialize in volunteer vacations not just for the globally- engaged individuals, but also for churches and groups with active outreach programs. Whether it's a classic like Casablanca, an emotional roller coaster like Eat, Pray, Love, or a whacky comedy like EuroTrip, tell us what movie always seems to transport you to another place?

I was fortunate to cruise along The Gambia River in January of this year. You can read about the trip on my website, https://www.in-joytravel.com/post/my-desired-destination. This photo was taken at the Albert Market in Banjul, the capital city of The Gambia. #TravelStrong

Kromlau is mostly known for its 200-acre Azalea and Rhododendron Park, and the Rakotzbrücke "Devil's Bridge." Although the name sounds malicious, don't let it deter you! Dozens of older bridges throughout Europe share the same name as a nod to how difficult they were to build. So tricky to make, according to folklore, that either the Devil himself must have made it or that he shared the knowledge as part of a bargain.

Spaetzle is a type of pasta originating in Germany and Central Europe. The name came from the Italian word "spezzato," meaning small pieces. This egg noodle dumpling can be eaten with cheese and chives, meat dish, or paired with your favorite sauce.

The filling is made of masa, seasonings, meat, sliced potatoes, peppers, tomatoes, onions, olives, and either prunes or raisins.
