I discovered the Podcast last weekend and binged every episode! I already had most of our travel plan in place but the episodes helped fill in a few gaps and absolutely gave me some new ideas! Thanks so much Katie & Lori - I missed you when I reached the last episode!

(I'll likely have a few questions over the next few weeks but seeing and reading the previous posts has been a great help as well.)
I will be traveling in to Penn Station from NJ on the Port Jervis line. When we arrive in Penn Station will we need to purchase a subway ride to get to the South Ferry Station or would that transfer be "included" since we are already in the terminal? I am thinking trains and subways may be separated in different loading areas and require their own ticketing system.
Hello, I am so happy to have found this page. I was just wondering if your tours are wheelchair friendly for the food tours? Or should we just stick to a straight walking tour like the Brooklyn Bridge and DUMBO?
Hi All. Any recommendations for a places with live music that would be happy to allow 14 year old to come in ? Jazz will be great but we love all sorts of music.

Itinerary help- Is this too much for each day? Or should we do different things either day? I downloaded the Wanderlog App that had been suggested in other posts.

We are staying in Tarrytown and taking the train into the city each day and plan to be in the city no later than 9am each day.

We are suprising an 18 yr old with a NYC trip for his birthday and trying to touch on as many things (without being too rushed) to give him a NYC experience.

Friday- 12/3
Free Staten Island Ferry
9/11 Pools
Brooklyn Bridge

Saturday- 12/4

Thanks in advance for any feedback or suggestions!
I went on the Greenwich Village Food tour on Sept. 10, 2021 with Tour Guide Lori.
I enjoyed the tour very much. I especially like Lori whom I had once before on another tour. She makes everything so interesting that the time goes by so fast that you don't want the tour to end. The food tastings were plentiful and I couldn't taste everything available because I was so full.
During Covid I missed the tours which I usually take frequently. Soon I'll be going on the Brooklyn Bridge tour. This is the weather that is good for walks and learn about our City. I will be going on all of the tours eventually even in the winter. They're great!

Had a great tour of Greenwich Village, Chelsea and the High line with Lori. Enjoys sharing her vast knowledge and encourages questions to be asked. Definitely would book a tour with this company and Lori!
Had a fabulous and informative tour with John G on the Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO tour! Very knowledgable and enjoys sharing! He is witty and considerate of others during Covid times. Definitively would book a tour with him and this company!

Little Italy and NoLita NYC Walking Tour

In this video, Katie, a guide with Free Tours by Foot NYC, takes you on a walking tour of NoLita and Little Italy in Manhattan.

The former areas of Little Italy, now split into two neighborhoods, Little Italy and NoLita, are steeped in Italian-American culture, history and have both an old world and trendy feel.

Enjoy the architecture and historic sites, pop into trendy shoe stores and souvenir shops, grab a cannoli, or a cheesecake from Eileen's Famous Cheesecakes, and people-watch in Elizabeth Street Garden.

You'll also make a stop at Lombardi's Pizza, America's first pizzeria, as well as stroll down Mullberry Street, where the San Genaro Feast takes place.

How Much is a New York Helicopter Ride?

In this video, we explain the different helicopter rides available in NYC.

How much a ride costs depends on the length of the ride, as most helicopter operators have a similar pricing structure. For the most part, helicopter rides are divided into 3 options, a 15 min ride, a 20 min ride, or a 30 min ride.

When Is the Best Time to Visit New York City?

The best time to visit NYC depends on what “best” means to you.

If by best you mean cheapest times to visit, then that’s much easier to answer, come just about anytime between January and February.

However, there are also relatively cheap times to visit during periods of the high season. Read our section below explaining when is cheapest.

If your definition of best is mostly concerning the weather, then that’s also an easy answer. You should visit between May and June or between September and November. This is when it is the warmest with the least amount of rain.
