While winter winds down, why not spend your days planning your spring getaway? Indagare Travel listed Twin Farms as one of the Top 26 Best Spring Destinations.

"And no place is better to call home for a weekend—or a week—in this area than Twin Farms, an ultra-indulgent retreat set on a 300-acre estate that served as a getaway in the 1930s for literary giants Sinclair Lewis and his wife, journalist Dorothy Thompson."

Spring planning right this way:
We are so thrilled to have the White Elephant Palm Beach featured in Indagare Travel's story, "The Top 26 Spring Destinations: Where to Go This Spring" 🌸🌴

The article says, "Palm Beach provides a quieter, more upscale alternative to Miami" and that the White Elephant Palm Beach "is a fresh, boutique addition to the scene." Head to the link below to read the full guide!

We are THRILLED about tomorrow's Lite Lunch with Indagare Travel founder, Melissa Biggs Bradley! If you haven't gotten you ticket yet, don't fret - there is still time! Sales end tomorrow at 10:00 am. Click here to get yours now:
It has been almost 4 years since Singita Pamushana went through a significant design transformation.

Drawing on the vibrant culture of the region, the design makes strong use of texture – geometric patterns, tile inlays and carved furniture are featured throughout, as well as woven leather, natural fabrics, raw silks, hammered brass and polished stone. Deep olive green, to***co tan, black, white and brass comprise the primary colour palette, creating a striking backdrop for the mix of original African artifacts and contemporary forms which make up the interior.

We love and appreciate how Guido Taroni captured some of these design moments for Safari Style: Exceptional African Camps and Lodges, a book by Indagare Travel.

‘This private wildlife sanctuary is a dream for nature lovers and conservationists. Frégate Island is home to more than 100 species on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, making it an incredible opportunity to see such rare flora and fauna.’ Thank you, Indagare Travel for including us in your latest article about The Best 20 Private Island Resorts to Escape to.

The Brando is one of Indagare Travel's Picks of 20 Private Island Resorts to Escape to in 2022.

"Indulge in the best of Polynesian and Tahitian culture at the late Marlon Brando’s luxurious and sustainable private island. This resort is all-inclusive, from the top shelf alcohol and fresh East/West fusion cuisine to the spa treatments and three-hour adventure cruise (which includes a swim at a shark nursery). Whether you’re delighting in demonstrations of Tahitian cuisine and taking Polynesian dance lessons or learning about the scientific research conducted on the island’s ecosystems, a vacation at the Brando is sure to leave you not only rejuvenated, but enriched." #thebrando #frenchpolynesia
Looking so forward to being back at Singita Boulders in February.

Back to where it all began nearly 22 years ago! I’ll be guiding a private safari for Indagare Travel

"The Romance Factor: All of the accommodations have soaking tubs and fireplaces, most of them wood-burning. To really up the wow factor, book the fanciful, Moroccan-themed Meadow Cottage to bask in rich textiles and a two-person pedestal tub."

Grateful to be included in the best romantic winter getaways, as named by Indagare Travel:

A vibrant blend between the classic Caribbean and the South of France, St. Martin's white sand beaches, secluded coves and buzzy nightlife make for an excellent start to a private yachting adventure. Enjoy the perks of being on island (like the delicious fusion of Caribbean, French and Dutch cuisine) and the perks of escaping to the sea, where your boat offers a reprieve from the bustle. Plus, just a short sail away, St. Barth’s is great compliment for the scene-seekers and foodies.

Famous for its sheer beauty and cultural treasures (as well as its recent history as the filming location for King’s Landing in the HBO series Game of Thrones), Dubrovnik is one of the most spectacular walled cities in the world. Rich with 1,000 years of history, it bears the title “Pearl of the Adriatic,” and it’s no wonder that it does, as this charming and impressive city is much like an open-air museum, surrounded by the shimmering Adriatic Sea. In April, Indagare members can embark on a virtual tour through the cobblestone streets and squares of Dubrovnik, from Rector’s Palace to the Franciscan monastery hiding Europes oldest pharmacy. The session is part of Indagare's exclusive partnership with WSJ+, and is only available to Indagare and WSJ+ members.

Charleston is "the perfect mix of history, charm, climate and culture,” says The Dewberry's Jaimie Dewberry. “Around every corner is another treasure to be explored, I am still finding this to be true today as I discover something new on my walkabouts downtown. We caught up with her for her insider tips on this Indagare-favorite city. ""Whether it’s the floating sounds of church bells, hidden gardens, a quirky café, or the way the sun shines on a crumbling plastered wall, I think it is how the history, architecture, nature and culture all collide in this deeply rooted, special city.”

Originally known as Raqmu, the ruins we now call Petra once formed the capital of the Nabataean kingdom. The city flourished in the 1st century AD thanks to immense wealth that came from the Nabataeans' role in the Arabian spice trade. Today, the UNESCO site has been named one of the "New Seven Wonders of the World."

This November, explore Petra with an expert guide as part of Indagare's Set Departure trip to Jordan. During the six-day itinerary, travelers will experience many of the country's archaeological, cultural and natural highlights—from the Wadi Rum desert and the Dead Sea to the ancient ruins of Jerash and the modern metropolis of Amman. Salzburg is famously known as Mozart’s birthplace, but its significance goes far beyond his unrivaled musical genius. The city has played a unique role in the music world, yes, but also in development of medical innovations and architecture. As an independent city in the Holy Roman Empire, it became fabulously wealthy, and brought in Italian architects to transform the center into a showcase for Baroque architecture (protected from above by a massive 11th century Gothic fortress).

Later this month, Indagare members can learn more about Salzburg's fascinating history as they take a livestream tour through the winding streets. They'll be exploring the UNESCO-recognized city with an expert guide, who'll discuss everything from its tumultuous Medieval era to its starring role as the backdrop for The Sound of Music.

The session is part of Indagare's exclusive partnership with WSJ+, and is only available to Indagare and WSJ+ members. Head to the link below to learn more about the perks an Indagare membership can offer you.

It’s almost sakura season in Japan! Between late March to mid-April, Japan’s iconic cherry blossoms bloom across the country, from Tokyo and Mount Fuji to the mountainous Sapporo of the north and the volcanic Kyushu of the south, making a stunning and dynamic destination even more magical. The Japanese government recently announced a limited reopening plan, allowing foreign students and business travelers (among select others) back into the country, a positive sign for the future of tourist travel to Japan. We can’t wait to be allowed to return, but until then, we’ll settle for looking at some beautiful springtime photos.

Japan is one of our picks for a trip of a lifetime. Head to the link below to see 22 more that you can start planning now.

A Friday daydream courtesy of two beach-loving kangaroos. Earlier this month, the state of Western Australia reopened to both domestic and international arrivals for the first time since March 2020. The massive state occupies a third of Australia's total territory and had previously been closed even to fellow Australians. Now, visitors can once again explore its white-sand coast and cosmopolitan capital, Perth.

indagareceo Melissa Biggs Bradley recently returned from a trip to Charleston, where she gave a talk at the Charleston Library Society, found new must-try restaurants and got a sneak peek of the International African American Museum, slated to open later this fall.

In May, Indagare's new trip to Charleston will give an intimate group of travelers the opportunity to join a private hard-hat tour of the groundbreaking museum. Also on the itinerary: meeting with historians, architects and experts to gain a fuller understanding of life in antebellum Charleston, all while based at Indagare-adored boutique property, The Dewberry, in easy reach of the city's colorful mansions and jasmine and magnolia trees.

Happy ! We love this season of optimism and renewal. And few destinations are so tied to the season as the Netherlands, where the Dutch obsession with tulips dates back to the 16th century, when the bulbs were first planted here. Within a few decades, prices for the bulbs soared to unimaginable new heights—a period known as Tulipmania. Even today, the mania hasn't fully stopped: the Netherlands accounts for nearly 90 percent of the world’s total area of tulip farms.

Days here are filled with snorkeling, scuba, fishing and jungle walks amongst flourishing wildlife and relaxing in one of 14 villas, humbly named “casitas.”

Islas Secas is one of the twenty best private island resorts we’d like to escape to in 2022. Head to the link below to see the full list, from a secluded gem in the Florida Keys to a fashionable getaway in the Maldives.
