[07/21/20]   We have a last minute opening in our much sought after 4 bedroom cabin due to a one of our annual guests needing to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances related to COVID 19. They have asked us to try and resell the cabin for the week on their behalf.

Devastating Fire Destroys Portion of Historic Downtown Alexandria

It’s been a tough day for downtown Alexandria.
So many of our guests have been to Raapers for a drink and a burger.
We hope all of the businesses affected are able to bounce back quickly!

Here is this years first Spruce Hill trail report from the Douglas County Parks, just in time for Christmas week.

Spruce Hill Park is our little hidden gem, just 5 minutes away! It’s always peaceful and quiet!

Spruce Hill Cross-country ski trails- Trails are groomed. One track of traditional slots, the other side of the trail is for skate skiing walking, or fat tire bike riding.
Snowshoeing- Good conditions exist throughout the park. Let us know if you get any pictures of the trout in the creek this winter.

Sharing the sunset tonight along with the icy shoreline. Predicting one of the earliest ice on dates in recent history! Beautiful nonetheless!
