So much travel is opening throughout the world and flights are starting to operate!!! It has been made official that Jamaica will be the first Caribbean island to open to international travels June 15th! What a great way to start :)

“An online travel agency is not the same as a Travel Advisor”.
forbes.com If you're planning a trip after the pandemic, maybe it's time to call a professional. Travel is radically and almost unrecognizably different after the COVID-19 pandemic. That is why you need a travel advisor, say experts.
Enjoy your day!
Because last time we ran out of chairs.....

Travel Tuesday :)
You're going on Vacation!!
But you can only visit a place that starts with the first letter of your first name....post where that place is below in the comments :)
For those of us in the Northeast, the rain is moving out and making room for the beautiful May flowers... Happy May!!
Ok, let's have some fun :)
After the lockdown, you go on vacation with the 3rd person who pops up when you type @
Comment and Tag that person below with where you want to go!
I'm getting this comment, question, concern quite a bit, as I'm sure you can understand and see why....however, as truth be told, this would go for the same with any school system, nursing home, rehab centers, large concerts, large conferences...any place that would have a person to person contact with many people in the same place. The only place that truly has to report any type of these illnesses are the cruise industry, which they all do, and then they get the bad press for it, but everyone needs to look at the entire picture. Cruises are not for everyone, that's for sure, however, they are not the cause of illness.
This is a great perspective from Arnold Donald CEO of Carnival Cruise Corp (which owns Holland America, Princess Cruise Lines, Carnival Cruise Lines, as well as others)
“Cruise ships are not the cause of the virus nor are they the reason for the spread in society,” he said, adding that regulations require the industry to report illnesses. “We report; we provide all the information. Airport terminals, not so much. Subway stations, not so much. Restaurants, not so much. Hotels, not so much.”
Cruise ships do have health protocols in place, with health screenings before boarding, hand sanitizer stations, signs urging hand-washing, and onboard medical clinics. Once the coronavirus began to spread, cruise lines strengthened screenings and did temperature scans.
The industry works with the CDC, WHO and other health authorities and will comply with new protocols being developed, he said.
How true is this? When the time is right, I'm totally in 🙋♀️

OMGosh….hot off the press! Thank You Delta Airlines for working with customers through this trying time!! Let's hope all follow suit!
news.delta.com Delta is extending flight credits even further, making eligible tickets redeemable through May 31, 2022.
I love Nolan! He just shared this video and as I'm thinking of some of the phone calls I've recieved from some of you and from strangers, I'm still laughing...after this hard day, the laugh was needed 😀
After posting a video on why you SHOULD use a travel agent, this time Nolan Burris turns it all around. Here are three great reasons NOT to use one!
Airlines are not being fair, in most cases, during this very trying time. They need to refund people due to disruptions in travel and need to stop limiting the use of their "credits". THANK YOU to these Senators that have joined the forces of ASTA (American Society of Travel Agents) in this fight for refunds!!
When our hands are tied from the airlines and we have to be the person telling our clients they will not be refunded for their flights, it makes for a very difficult part of our jobs especially when we believe that they should be.
eturbonews.com Senators Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.), Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) today led a group of their colleagues in a letter sent | eTurboNews | Trends | Travel News | Airline News
Millions of travelers currently have flights scheduled with the major airlines that are either canceled or allowed to cancel with no airline fees. Most US Airlines are not providing refunds but travel credits that must either be used within one year of the date the ticket was purchased (which means as early as April this year) or by year end.
Millions of people who bought tickets last year will be unable to use these credits because ruey cannot travel by those time frames- especially those that have lost their jobs due to Covid-19. And airlines will keep that money that should rightfully go to consumers who have been forced to stay home due to no fault of their own.
We are asking you to require airlines requesting Covid-19 funds to offer a minimum credit good for one year from the original travel date. The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) is requesting two years. We understand that the airlines cannot afford refunds, but they can be fair with extending the credits.
We are also asking you to require airlines to allow customers who canceled flights before the airline waived fees for their same flight to refund cancellation fees. Airlines should not be profiting off the misfortune that is occurring due to this pandemic.

change.org 2284 signatures are still needed! Allow airline passengers one year from original travel date to rebook airline credit
I am getting this question a lot, how can we help? ...this is going around facebook and thought THIS is how you can help ensure Happy Travels comes out on the other side :)
When this is over, THIS is where you will find me :) Who is going to join me???
Soooo very happy to report that ALL my clients are back home safe and sound...as crazy as this profession can be, I still love it 💗
This article is absolutely true (I can attest to many, many phone calls of travelers stuck who booked online and called me since they could not get through to their online booking source) and why we will always be around 😀
forbes.com While airlines and online travel agencies are telling customers don’t call us, we can’t handle the volume of calls, and in some cases disconnecting callers after hours on hold, consumers who use traditional travel agents are not only getting advice.
