[07/04/16]   Concerning north star and rip cord actitives on Quantum class vessels. Currently they only charge on Quantum of the Seas in the Asian market. However what is happening (on Anthem anyway) is that all the slots are filled up prior to boarding.
They are considering the pay model so that there is availability to sign up on board.
Right now there is enough general neagative feedback to keep it free.

My biggest concern about actitives on RCI is that there isnt enough opportunity for guests to experience them. Venues aren't getting bigger, just more variety of actitives which makes the feeling of a ship being crowded. When everyone wants to do the same things.

Oasis never felt over crowded except in the comedy club, studio b, and having to make sure you got reservations for the ones you wanted to do or being on standby if you didn't.

Just cancelled my Independence cruise in favor of Anthem 2 weeks further out. Couldn't resist the upgrade though, it was a no-brainer.

* Special note - Carnival has their live series with popular performers you would pay for on land. On these sailings you'd pay for the headline show. You would likely know if you booked one of these sailings.

I Haven't been one yet. But it is on my to do list for next year. If there is a performer i want to see.

[06/17/16]   Airlines can overbook flights to account for no shows. So check in for that flught early to avoid getting bumped. Especially if you are flying in on same day.

[06/17/16]   Love Majesty of the Seas. Sailed in Jan '16 before the drydock. Had the same concerns about it being an older ship, no longer. Only thing, make sure you get at least a superior oceanview. They are the larger cabins (translate that to be regular size cabins) but obstructed view all lower category cabins are 25 % smaller (114SqFt). Cabin size is the only issue with this ship (non-issue for me).

Excellent weekend ship but I could easily do a B2B total of 7 days on this ship.

Note: Lots of non english speakers (sailed out of Miami) with multiple announcements. Great cruise director. Great food options on such a small ship.
