Kudos to Rimas and Vytis Travel for arrangements for an enjoyable trip to Lithuania. Did a lot of searching and they have plenty of options. I picked the tour option. The airport transfer was a plus - someone waiting for you in the arrival lobby to the hotel, like a VIP! (and back to the airport too). Can I say seamless? Our group was small (8 persons) and our tour guide Mindaugas was extremely knowledgeable and took care of us well thoughout the week's pleasurable journey to many of Lithuania's sites.

When discovering Lithuania and other Baltic states, there's nothing better than a travel agency run by their people. They can take you smoothly to their countries' sceneries, history, culture, food and lifestyle - yes with fluent English speaking guides.

I wanted a specific itinerary for our parishioners to visit the many holy places and shrines from Divine Mercy, Our Lady Gate of Dawn, Mother of God in Trakai and the feast of Our Lady in Siluva which was a national holiday; then spending free time at the Couron Peninsula, Riga Public Market and their biggest shopping mall Akropolis; with welcome and farewell dinners with the people. It was worth the back and forth preparations between Los Angeles, New York and Vilnius. Rimas and his people where patient, resourceful and always accommodating. Petras Staselis was very knowledgeable of his country and other places.

My family booked a trip with Vytis Tours. The agent did not ask us for the expiration dates on our passports. When my son went to get on his flight to Lithuania he was not allowed to get on because his passport (which was not expired) but was due to expire in less than 30 days. We had NO idea such a law existed. I have told many people about this and they all say they had no idea and that the agent should have known this and asked for this information. I have tried getting my $2300 back from Rimas and he is not cooperating. So therefore I am giving him the worst review possible and I urge you NOT to use this service. I contacted other agencies that I was thinking of using and they ALL said that Vytis tours should have asked this pertinent information. We are so upset with this agency for not paying us back the money that we had to put out for airfare, etc. I urge everyone to check the date on your passport and if there is not at least 6 months left, get it renewed before you go. Do not use this company.
