The Mon River Valley Magazine
Dear friends, fans, customers & clients of the Mon River Valley Magazine —as Americans begin to travel again, the upcoming issue of the 2020 Fall/Winter issue is being planned and will continue to include favorite spots, restaurants, attractions and local destinations in our 5 county region.
According to recent studies by tourism experts and Destination Analysts www.destinationanalysts.com many travelers are feeling drawn to destinations they are familiar with rather than the lure of the unknown. Expectations about the virus’ course have dampened and nearly 70% will take at least one leisure trip this year. A majority of Americans who will be traveling in 2020 said they will avoid crowded destinations. This is great opportunity to put on our “best dress” and promote this region and highlight our little “off the beaten path” places & small towns along the Monongahela River.
I am looking for unique stories, fun activities, places to visit. itineraries and lists of what we have to offer in our little neck of the woods of SW PA in a marketing effort to get people to visit the region for day trips or overnight stays. If you have any ideas or suggestions of unique, delicious, places you have visited or experienced and would like to be considered for the Fall/Winter publication please contact me. 3,000 Magazines are distributed locally for free in the region and through the “PA on Display” Welcome Centers.
See you in the Mon Magazine for Fall/Winter 2020 issue🥰🇺🇸🥰
You can read the 2019 issue here and find a directory of local establishments in the 5 county region.
Especially on a hot summer day...

The house opened in 2009 and has taken thousands of its guests on a blast to the past not seen anywhere in a vacation house rental in the USA -- or anywhere for that matter. We have been featured in Pittsburgh Magazine for our grand opening in June of 2009; WQED Pittsburgh 360 as Dave Crawley (reporter) walked down memory lane; and the house is currently featured in the Columbia Gas of PA Tv Commercial called “The Greatest Generation”. Check us out on YouTube with several videos and then c’mon over for a weekend getaway with us...I double dog dare ya!
