WHO TRAVELS WITH US?
Women who share your interest in visiting a specific destination are your travel companions. Our travelers are married, single, divorced and widowed, have varied work and educational backgrounds, and hail from all 50 states and across Canada. Most women are in their 50s and 60s, though we have plenty of travelers younger and older. We welcome all women who can handle the activity levels of our tours and embrace the diversity of the women who choose to travel with us. photo: WTT Australia & New Zealand tour, 2019
BREAKFAST, LUNCH & DINNER
We balance meals Included in the tour cost with the opportunity to explore your own food preferences. The tour itinerary will spell out which meals are included each day. Very often, you will be able to order off the menu in the restaurant chosen. Most tours include a hotel-provided breakfast daily and as a general rule, US hotels tend to offer lighter breakfast options. We can accommodate most dietary restrictions. photo: WTT Montreal & Quebec tour
ALWAYS BUILT INTO THE SCHEDULE
Science has not shown that women have smaller bladders than men, but it sure seems that way. We make planned restroom stops and can make an unplanned stop when needed. photo: Big Ben National Park, Texas

THE EMOTIONAL ROLLER COASTER
It’s normal to feel anxious about new experiences, especially one as big as travel. It’s normal to worry that things might go wrong. BUT, the woman who can put her worries into perspective will reap the rewards of travel. Tip: For every worry, respond with the MORE LIKELY positive outcome. We’ve heard from thousands of women over the years who stared down their fears and were rewarded beyond their wildest dreams. So can you!

The Everglades is made up of coastal mangroves, sawgrass marshes and pine flatwoods that are home to hundreds of animal species. It’s also the only place in the world where alligators and crocodiles co-exist—which we viewed from a safe distance. 😊 photo: WTT Key West tour #1 currently underway

We build some free time in on every tour to give you an opportunity to explore personal interests. Solo travelers sometimes think they’re on their own figuring out what to do during free time. Not true! Your Tour Leader will have plenty of suggestions, help pair women with similar interests and will often lead free time activities. Of course, if you want to strike out alone or just relax during free time it’s your choice. 😊

WHO TRAVELS WITH US?
Women, obviously :). WTT is a women-only, small group travel organization. The average age of our travelers is 55 but we have women older and younger travel with us. 80% join our trips solo and many are traveling solo for the first time. They are married, single and widowed. photo: WTT NYC Holiday Magic tour, 2019
HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY!
You have to love the Irish.:) photo: Dublin pub sign seen on WTT’s Ireland the Emerald Isle tour.
THE IRISH CONNECTION
This statue in Cobh, Ireland commemorates 17-year-old Annie Moore who immigrated to America with two younger brothers in 1892. After a 12-day voyage, Annie was the first immigrant to pass through Ellis Island in New York City. A “sister” statue of Annie is on Ellis Island. In 2019, Ancestry.com reported that two-thirds of all their DNA test-takers are at least 5% Irish. photo: WTT Ireland the Emerald Isle tour
NOT STRICTLY TRAVEL RELATED BUT...
It can be really tough to get a decent photo from a plane window but Tour Leader Debbie Arnold managed it a few years back. photo: WTT Australia & New Zealand tour, 2017
TRAVEL WITH FRIENDS… you haven’t met yet
80% of women join our trips solo—no girlfriend or sister. You “meet” the other women in the group via email before departure. HOW does this work out? For 25 years, our travelers have often said that meeting interesting women from across the country they'd never ordinarily meet is as rewarding as the travel itself. Many new friends have begun on our trips—a fact we feel really good about.

Safe, Small Group Travel for The Solo Woman since 1997.
TWENTY-THREE YEARS AGO Debra Asberry wanted to take a trip but no one she knew could or would go with her. Not wanting to go alone (not as fun or safe) or travel with a large tour group of couples and feel like a 5th wheel, she did some informal research and discovered a surprising number of women in the same situation. She went onto to found Women Traveling Together and still runs the organization today.
WHY WE’RE DIFFERENT….
MEET THE OTHER WOMEN BEFORE YOU TRAVEL (WTT EXCLUSIVE FEATURE)
You'll have plenty of opportunities to communicate and get to know the other women on your trip long before the trip begins. Coordinate flying together, coordinate free time interests, and more all in a secure area on our web site. By the time the trip begins you'll already be well acquainted and excited to meet your fellow travelers in person!
BIG & SMALL WHERE IT COUNTS
Women Traveling Together has a large and loyal repeat client base that has grown year after year since 1997, making it possible to offer more than 100 trips a year. In fact, most of our tours sell out six or more months before departure.
We’re BIG enough to:
Be a member of the National Tour Association, protecting our travelers with $1 million in tour liability coverage
Own our own 15-passenger Mercedes mini-coaches so we can offer comfortable North American touring
Hire and train seasoned travel veterans as group leaders to insure a consistently superior travel experience
Garner national press coverage to keep attracting more travelers, which enables us to offer more tours
Yet we’re SMALL in some very important ways:
We’re still owned and operated by our founder, and guided by her vision
We deliberately keep our group size small to enhance your travel experience
We give every traveler personal attention tailored to her wants and needs
We take the time to get to know you; you’re part of the WTT family
