Alla vigilia della sua passione, essi ti offrivano tributo di lode;
a te che ora regni e trionfi sia levato il nostro canto.
Graditi essi ti furono, gradisci ora anche la nostra devozione,
Re generoso, Re clemente cui piace ogni cosa buona.

Let Freedom Ring Civil Rights Music Tours | Classical Movements

Did You Know: Last year, continuing on our 28-year history of supporting and advocating for under-represented populations all over the world, Classical Movements created a series of tour itineraries known as Let Freedom Ring.

Let Freedom Ring is a set of three pre-designed itineraries created to highlight the achievements and legacy of African Americans through music and the struggle for civil rights. In our country, there are great rifts between people of differing beliefs, backgrounds, and colors. We have a painful history that we have not fully reckoned with. Let Freedom Ring is our way of contributing to that conversation. We hope to bring awareness of the complex and under-discussed African American experience by using our resources and expertise in the fields of music and travel.

Contact [email protected] for a custom quote for your choir, orchestra, family, or other performing or non-performing group. We hope you will join us!

Songs for Our Time:
Music for Social Justice, with Anton Armstrong
August 1-7, 2021: Charleston, South Carolina
Travel down south to the elegant coastal city of Charleston, South Carolina, and challenge the status quo with a bold and exciting program, conducted by the legendary Anton Armstrong of the St. Olaf Choir. Featuring passionate, cutting-edge works on themes of equity, justice, and strength, this program will challenge, uplift, and move you.

Charleston has a storied and patchwork history. Countless portrayals in media tell a wide range of stories, but to see in person is to experience it fully. Charleston’s cobblestone streets, wide ocean vistas, and famously colorful row homes will charm and entrance you. Walk along the broad, genteel avenues, explore the warm, fertile Low Country surroundings, and catch a glimpse at the other side that the history books may not always tell you about. Classical Movements will work to support Black-owned businesses and highlight the stories not told often enough in this affecting and enlightening itinerary.
