We stopped by one of our favorite restaurants and surprised they had tables outside! Great food and drink! It was a beautiful night! And I helped a turtle across the road ! ๐Ÿ˜Š A beautiful night!

Just had to post this question??

Things seem to be getting back to normal. Bookings are great. Our regulars are still coming back. Big Ole' took his mask off and one of my favorite places has opened! I don't post my opinions on politics on here very often, so I won't! I just keep praying! Hope to have a peaceful and wonderful 2020! See you all soon! There are still a couple openings here and there so give us a call if you want to try us out.

SO ALL BLANKETS AND SPREADS ARE CHANGED BETWEEN GUESTS AS WELL AS THE SHEETS AND PILLOW CASES! Do not worry about our cabins! Come and get fresh air on the lake and enjoy our sunsets!! These prices have never been this low and hopefully will never be again! COME CHECK US OUT, GET FRESH AIR AND CATCH SOME HUNGRY WALLEYE, BASS, CRAPPIES OR SUNNIES!! OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHIES GO OUT TO THE GRUWELL FAMILY. Jerry just lost his mother who was 81. We know they have a lot going on as Brenda also lost a cousin. Please keep Jerry, Brenda and family in your prayers . This is an especially hard time on families without being able to hug all of those you want. ๐Ÿ˜ฅโค๐Ÿ™

To our guests:

We are doing our best to keep our distance and wear our masks (Even Big Ole' wears his!) and wash our hands. At our cabins we are going to go to extra lengths to make our guests feel welcome and safe. I, as a cleaner will spray the cabins down before any of the cleaners go in to your cabin. They will wear gloves and wear masks while cleaning your cabin. We are also ordering extra spreads and blankets so we can totally switch them out between guests, ( as we do not know how long Covid 19 can last on cloth. ) We can't wait hours or a day or two. Sheets and pillow cases are always done by professionals. We will check with the health dept and Covid 19 help line for additional rules and suggestions. We will be using Clorox in the cleaning waters as well and where we have dishwashers, we will be using those also. Please do your part and also understand if you cannot get in as early as normal. We want to do the best we can to keep everyone safe. We ask you to please follow rules in regards to the laundry room. Keep your distance and keep things clean. The same goes for the fish cleaning house. If you are with family thats up to you, but we want to protect everyone ! The birds , the squirrels, and the rabbits are here and the docks are in and the weather has been nice. A little rain but we needed it! Families have come up to enjoy some fresh air! So we are trying our best and praying that we have a wonderful year! If you have any questions, please let us know. We will post any info before you arrive in regards to gas and store items. I don't believe the extra showers houses and bathrooms will be open as everyone has their own and children and adults cleaning everytime could be a problem. If you have any questions, olease call me. Pat 320 266 5868!

Where Does the Virus Live? Not on Your Hair, Clothes or Shoes -- Occupational Health & Safety

This is 4 parts, but helps relieve some concerns for many.

ohsonline.com One Times article goes through the places that the virus likely exists and where it doesnโ€™tโ€”and reading this might put you at more ease.

For those of you who love home schooling your child or others who understand ๐Ÿ˜‰

Needed to post a couple some may get a kick out of..sent by a friend ๐Ÿ˜˜ just saying..some need a break or a chuckle ๐Ÿ˜‰

Well Ron chlorinated the well and turned the water on! ๐Ÿค— Its getting down in the 30s at night but may get up in the 60's. Oh, and the crew has put in most of the dock. When the crew can work and the lake is calm they'll start on the lifts. Oh, I have uncovered my new plants...nothing yet. Time will tell ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿค—

Hi All! Had to post my first of many Lake Mary sunsets at Eden Acres Resort! Things are on schedule to turn the water on next Thursday the 23rd. Low temp tomorrow is 24' but after that it looks to be in the 30s so should be good to go. The couple we talked to had no mice, nor did we! Maybe our 2 cats had something to do with it ๐Ÿค— They came to greet us but stay their distance! The docks are going in now even with the low temps! Brrr! Glad we still have our great crew! ๐Ÿ™ Things will be a little different, but looking for a safe wonderful 2020 season! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ–๐Ÿšค๐ŸŒž

Thought I would share this one! In these times we get distracted, busy or in many cases bored with staying home. We happen to be very busy and thankful to be healthy enough to do so! Wishing you all a very Blessed Easter and pray you all stay healthy. I would normally say that anyway, but with this virus its scarier than normal! The world has changed! Hopefully, we help others and try to get thru this, and all become better people and appreciate every blessing we've been given. Love you all! โค PTL!

A little (?) update. Kurt was kind enough to send some photos ( but you know the wind can change the whole picture) The lake is shifting and there is some open water, so we are hoping for no real damage. One never knows! Ron and Kurt are hoping to get the same crew for the docks, but with social distancing it may be later. We've never had this come up before so waiting on orders from Mn governor and our Chamber, our board, etc. We've been doing this since 1977 and never could have imagined something like this. We did hear that if you use Alex RV for opening or servicing your trailer you might want to check with them too. We've heard that if anyone goes in their trailer before ALEX RV employees do what they are suppose to do, they will not put their employees at risk and therefore will not open your trailer or attend to issues until it is safe. The store, bathrooms, and showers will not be open until safe to do so. We'll let you know on the gas pump. We are hoping to use social distancing, rules, disinfectant etc. to see if we can open the laundry, if we are permitted to do so. We are planning on it. We are praying none of our Eden Acres family have been exposed to this awful virus. We are planning to leave FL next Wed and sleep in our truck on the way. We pray we do not get sick in the meantime. Ron volunteered to open the resort this spring, and if we can get the help we need for docks, lifts, cleaning etc.we'll do as always. Some things may have to be postponed a little but hope not! It sounds like Glenn is anxious to get back to beautiful lake Mary! We are too!
We just moved to an association in FL, but only 4 miles from where we were, so still close to our friends. Hope to make new ones too. โค So we are praying for a great year with friends at EDEN ACRES! We are nervous about things, but will do our best! Be safe! Praying for everyone! ๐Ÿ™ Hope to see you all soon! We love the families, kids, activities, dogs, nature and wildlife and of course the sunsets and sun rises and hope we can sit around the fires !

PHOTO of the lovely Corinne Flaten. Our deepest condoleces on her passing . Prayers for the family and friends

[03/30/20]   I feel so badly. I thought I had posted the obituary for Corinne Flaten right after she passed. I am so sorry. I usually try to if I am in the know. She was a lovely woman of great style and loved her family. She was always willing to talk with you and was with us at Eden Acres for years! She will be missed by many I am sure. I was reminded when someone asked me about her.She was loved by many!

Family and friends could go to their mailbox and always find a card with a little note inside celebrating their birthday or a holiday. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary serving as a past president, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the local Legion. GOOD MORNING! These first few I actually took around sunrise! And the lake had frozen! This was on the 12th I believe...then a couple sunsets. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿฅฐ Have a wonderful day!

Well...Sunsets! Actually I was trying tp plant some roots and bulbs that came in yesterday that were promised mid September ! Ha! Anyway I was chopping away or rather chipping away at the frozen soil when it exploded in my face hitting both eyes!! I hollered for Ron but he was on the tractor so I came in and started flushing my eyes. When I went back out I looked at the sunset and went back to get my phone! I thanked God for my eyesight! I couldn't help but take photos! One moment I was distraught and complaining - the next I was calm, thankful and in awe...HE DOES AWESOME WORK! PTL ๐Ÿ™

[11/06/19]   Thankyou all for your input! I thought if there was 1 in a million chance I got bit by a bat and got exposed. Then ( as in Dumb and dumber) there IS a chance ! LOL! I have a lot left on my bucket list ! PTL ๐Ÿ™ Have a wonderful day !โค

[11/06/19]   Possible bat bite update . I went in the next day and got the shots- not painful. Now I pray for no side effects! ๐Ÿ™โค

[11/05/19]   Here goes.... They say quite a few people are bit while sleeping but not likely. I agree and I doubt it was a bat. But strange that I just told Ron at night that I kept putting on the flashlight as I thought something was in the room . We are remodeling and the walls are open and we found 2 mice and 1 dead bat in the walls. Then the next day I feel the back/side of my neck and then it felt like a bite and I asked Brenda to look at it and she took a photo, said it looks like a bat bite in jest!! Weird too..?? What are the odds that would happen?! To me it all put a little doubt in my mind especially when I enlarged the photo! It looked like angry bites not like any bug bite I had had before! So I finally went in. The Dr. Said he doubted it was a bat bite and he said if it was his wife or mother and no one saw a bat he'd not do the shots. Well, not his life. If its only a 1 % chance do you take it? I said I'd sleep on it. Its 7 shots the 1st day and then a shot on 3rd, 7th and 14th day. Not sure if I'll feel sick or not but if I wait until I feel sick its too late ๐Ÿฅบ And since it is on my neck I have less time as it travels to your brain vs. if I had it on my leg...travel time. I'm thinking seriously about it...I dont like shots but if I'm warned and then don't do it.... Well, we haven't finished remodeling and my house is not organized - cluttered not dirty. I just couldn't think about it! So I'll be talking with HIM tonight and see what morning brings. Then I could handle feral cats, kittens and chipmunks and not worry. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Š

I don't care for winter coming early....22 degrees is getting pretty chilly but it made for a pretty sunset last night and the leaves continue to fall. People wanted to know if the leaves are off the trees- so they can clean their gutters! These tree and leaf photos were taken today! But there's still lots of green grass -spring will be here soon! ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ™„ Well in 6 months or so! ๐Ÿ˜Š And whatever happened to Indian Summer and did we miss it? Brrrr..I'm sure Glenn was glad to head south today! ๐Ÿ˜Š We would be too if we could! My body is not fond of cold weather at all! Well, I wonder what Trick or treaters will wear? Oh, I know- lol ? Charlie and Izzy (Karens granddaughters) are The Princess and Big Foot! โค So cute! Wish we could see them more often! Love them! ๐Ÿ’• Mykaela is always beautiful and has grown up so fast! Well let's pray for a mild winter and an awesome, happy and healthy 2020 season!
