Let me help you plan your next magical vacation to a Disney Destination!

Thank you to everyone to has supported me and my little business this past year. Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Don’t let shorties or nervous nellies keep you from riding the thrill rides!

The My Disney Experience app is one of the best ways to make your WDW trip easier. You can find so much info in there: attraction wait times, where characters are, where the nearest restrooms are, and you can even bypass lines in most of the counter service locations by ordering your food through the app!

Hello, all!! One of things I love most about Disney vacations are the memories. I mean, that's why I do this! I love helping families make magical memories that will last a lifetime. This past summer, I had the privilege of helping my friend, Amy, plan a trip for her family to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. They had gone once when their kiddos were super small, and now they are both in college! Amy gave me permission to share some of the photos she took, recreating some of her photos from their first trip. I just love how her family puts so much emphasis on doing things together, rather than buying "stuff" for each other.

Stop by the front desk of your resort or guest services at the parks to get your celebration button!!!

There are so many things going on at WDW parks during each season! Epcot has a festival during almost every season with TONS of great food and entertainment, Hollywood Studios has become to the go-to park for Christmas holiday fun, you can visit Magic Kingdom and attend the Halloween or Christmas party, and all of the parks offer nighttime dessert parties! As your travel agent, I book all of those things for you. ❤️

Don’t just smile and pose with characters! Talk with them about their origin stories, ask them questions! They love that! Especially Gaston...his favorite thing to do is talk about himself!

When you plan a trip, you want to get the most bang for your buck. For most people, they think that means spending every waking moment in a park. Do yourself a favor and schedule some time to hang around your resort, visit a different resort, or Disney Springs! There is so much more to WDW than just theme parks!

You can go to Walt Disney World, go to the parks, hang out at the resorts and have a complete blast, HOWEVER, there are so many other amazing things that you can add to your trip to make it that much more magical!!! As a travel planner, when a client books with me, I take care of scheduling al of the “extras” that make your trip personalized to your family! I will share a few of my family’s favorites in the comments.

There are many people who have vacationed at Walt Disney World who don’t even know what a fast pass is! Using the Fast Pass+ system at WDW is imperative if you don’t want to waste time standing in long lines. Believe it or not, there’s a lot of thought and strategy that goes into picking the best fast passes for your trip! As your travel agent, I’m up the morning your window opens, booking your fast passes at 7:00 am. Even on the weekends!

Most people do not realize that dining reservations are available SIX MONTHS from the date you start your trip! The most popular meals (character meals!) go quickly. It can be very disheartening to try to make your must have reservations and find they are all booked! As your travel agent, I am up and ready to book for you at 6:00am when your dining window opens and I can keep an eye on those hard to get reservations and snatch them up when they become available!

During my travels, I have stayed at several different WDW resorts, as well as stayed offsite. I will say that I have always had a far better experience staying onsite. I love being in the “Disney Bubble!” When I vacation there, I want to be surrounded by the magic 24/7. There’s an on-site option for every budget!

It’s that time of year again!! Tomorrow,I will begin sharing one tip a day to help make your next Walt Disney Trip even more magical! Stay tuned!

#DisneyParksLIVE: Watch ‘Candlelight Processional’ Live from Epcot December 4 at 8:10 p.m. ET

You can watch Neil Patrick Harris perform the Candlelight Processional tonight!!

disneyparks.disney.go.com For guests visiting Walt Disney World Resort during the holidays, “The Candlelight Processional” at Epcot is a must-do, chill-evoking live musical performance that celebrates the season and leaves entire families in awe. And today, I’m thrilled

So cool!!

Here are up close and personal pictures of the interior of the new Disney Skyliner gondolas coming next year to Walt Disney World. Swipe to see all the pictures. The last two show Heather standing next to one and then I cloned her to show that there seems to be plenty of room in there for four across each bench. There “appears” to be AC in them.

New deluxe resort at Walt Disney World!

The name of the new Deluxe Resort at Walt Disney World was revealed at Destination D.

News about Galaxy’s Edge from D23!

Name and scenes reveal of the new immersive ride experience coming next year to Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge

So many cool new things being revealed at D23! Our agency owners are there getting all the details. I will share as they do!

I am really missing not having a Christmas trip to WDW this year....I think I am going to have to go ahead and plan one for next year.

As if I didn't already love Disney's Beach Club enough, look at these tasty treats you can get at Beaches 'n Cream! You can only order them when you are eating inside the restaurant (not from the walk up window). They also have chocolate! I am adding this to my list for my next visit!

Making the Most of Your Character Interactions at Walt Disney World® - Key To The World Travel

I never thought that I would enjoy character interactions at WDW, but those have been some of our most memorable experiences! Personally, my favorites are Gaston, Merida, and Cinderella's evil step-mother. Who are yours??

https://www.keytotheworldtravel.com/making-the-most-of-your-character-interactions-at-walt-disney-world/

keytotheworldtravel.com Meeting your favorite character at the Walt Disney World® Resort can be one of the most memorable experiences of your family vacation.

Wishing I had a dole whip right about now.......

[10/25/18]   Is it time to put up our Christmas Trees yet??

We stayed at Disney’s Beach Club this trip. Since we only had one Park day and we were only going to Hollywood Studios and Epcot we chose to a Boardwalk/Epcot area resort. We stayed in room 1553 which put us very close to the walkway to Epcot. It was only a 3 minute walk. It was also super close to the lobby/marketplace area. It’s a beautiful resort and this area has quickly become my favorite in all of Walt Disney World. I think I liked the room at Yacht Club a little better, but this was nothing to sneeze at! I like the vinyl “wood” flooring at Yacht, as well as the pocket door that sectioned off the sink area from the rest of the room. It’s nice to be able to get up and get ready without having to disturb everyone in your room. Next up I want to say at the BoardWalk Inn to round them out!

We went to the Star Wars Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party tonight. It was a great time!! I didn’t get too many pictures of the food because I was too busy stuffing it in my mouth. After we ate, met three characters, and browsed all the memorabilia, they gave us our Darth Vader souvenir mugs and took us to a ropes off section to watch the Movie Magic show and the Galactic Spectacular. Such a great show! We’ve been going for 15 hours now.....I’m officially tapped out.

Still eating our way around the World!

Todd is pretty excited to be in line at Hollywood Studios an hour and 15 minutes before they open! We do not have any Toy Story fast passes so we got up early to try to make it on Slinky Dog Dash with as little wait as possible. We shall see how it works!

Afterward, we will meet up with our friends at Epcot for International Food and Wine Festival! Ready for an awesome day!!

Ps: I didn’t want to take time for breakfast so I bought some Mickey head goldfish once we got in line for the park. 😂😂

Key to the World Travel

This is on my bucket list!!!! I would love to visit Ireland, Scotland, or heck, even Southern California with Adventures by Disney. If you have ever been to a Disney Destination, you have experienced, first hand, the best customer service in the world. I can't imagine how amazing it would be to travel to far off places with them!

Adventures by Disney® provides group-guided family vacations to various domestic and international locations. There is an endless list of reasons why you should consider this type of vacation for your family. Jennifer Van Hill, Key to the World Travel shares her top 5!

Great news for all of us character meal lovers out there! Snow White, Dopey, Grumpy, and The Evil Queen are coming to Artist Pointe at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge! Slated to open this winter, the menu will be prix fixe, including shared starters, individual plated entrees, and ‘sweet spells’ for dessert.

I love doing character meals with my kids. You get to enjoy great food and avoid long lines for characters!

Some of my fellow agents experienced Epcot International Food and Wine Festival on opening weekend! I can't wait to be there next weekend!!

It’s the opening weekend of the International Food & Wine Festival at Epcot! We spent some time looking around since it kicked off yesterday, have a look with us. Food & Wine runs through November 12 this year, so there’s plenty of time for you to come and enjoy the festivities.

What’s your favorite thing to eat or drink during Food & Wine? Mine is the food. And the wine.

Disney’s Yacht Club Review

Hey, y’all! I celebrated my fortieth birthday this past May on a 4 night cruise on the Disney Dream. Before we set sail, my family and I had a short weekend stay at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. I have visited many of the deluxe resorts for the experience and for excellent dining, but this was my first time getting to actually stay in a Disney Deluxe Resort! We are generally Value Resort people. We are in the parks the majority of the day and had a hard time justifying the cost of a Deluxe stay when we are barely in the room. I knew that I wanted to spend some quality time at our home resort this trip so it seemed like a great time for a splurge….and you only turn 40 ONCE!

I apologize in advance for the pictures of our room. We didn’t get to our room until after 11pm and I was EXHAUSTED. Completely forgot to even take pictures of the bathroom. *facepalm* It was really nice...you may never know.

Awesome things about the Yacht Club:
*The bed was super duper comfy
*The room felt very luxurious. I loved the plush bedding, the new vinyl “wood” flooring, the balcony! Can I get an amen?? Sunrise on that balcony with a cup of coffee and a pop tart. Nothing is better than that, friend. Except for bunnies. I was able to watch several of them frolick from my balcony perch.
*It is home to the Yachtsman Steakhouse which easily has the best steak on property. I promise.
*Character breakfast right next door at the Beach Club? Yes, please.
*Stormalong Bay: The most awesomest pool at WDW. Three words: Pirate Ship Slide. Three more words: Sand bottom pool. Two more: Lazy River.
*The Boardwalk area-completely different from day to night. It’s beautiful and there are street entertainers! Get you some ice cream at Ample Hills and watch a juggler!
*You can legit walk to Epcot. It’s a little farther to Hollywood Studios, but doable.
*If you do not want to walk, you can take the adorable Friendship boats to Epcot, Hollywood Studios, or the Boardwalk.
*The view from our room at Sunrise…..phenomenal. You can see it below.

Verdict: This place was amazing. I felt pampered and super immersed in the fancy shmancy side of Disney. Was it worth it? Uh, yeah. As I told Todd while sipping my coffee from the balcony…..”We are now Deluxe people.” We will be staying the weekend at Disney’s Beach Club in a few weeks and I cannot wait to see how it compares!! I may even take pictures of their bathroom!!

The great thing about living so close to Walt Disney World is that I get to drive down and spend a quick weekend at the Beach Club! Todd and I are looking forward to heading down with some friends to check out the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot and Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios. Todd loves Star Wars so I snagged us some tickets to the Star Wars Galactic Nights Dessert Party! September can’t get here fast enough.....

Adventures by Disney - Edinburgh, Inverness, and The Highlands Adventure

Have you dreamed of traveling the world but the thought of it makes you nervous? Not speaking the language, not being familiar with your surroundings....these things sometimes hold people back. Adventures by Disney is your answer!

keytotheworldtravel.com Explore Edinburgh, search for the Nessie, and compete in Highland Games on the Adventures by Disney® - Edinburgh, Inverness and The Highlands Adventure!

This is one of the coolest places in Disney Springs. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you need to!

Indiana Jones fans, listen up! If you haven’t checked out Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar at Disney Springs, you need to get there for a drink. In a monkey head. I promise there are no brains in the cup, just a tasty beverage. If you’re not an Indy fan, go anyway. It’s a great bar with an extensive drink menu and good food. And did I mention you can get a drink in a monkey head? I think maybe I did.

Disney has nailed the theming here - Indy’s pilot friend Jock has turned his airplane hangar into a watering hole for intrepid travelers, with drinks and food inspired by his travels. The drink list is extensive - over 30 concoctions (plus a full bar for your own favorites). And I promise Jock’s pet boa constrictor doesn’t hang around the bar. At least not that I noticed...

Jock Lindsey’s is located between Morimoto Asia and The Boathouse (if you’re driving, park in the Lime Garage ans head straight over the bridge when you come down the escalators). It gets pretty busy in the evenings, but around lunch and the early afternoon is a great time to grab a drink here. We’ve never had trouble snagging a spot indoors before 5 pm. There is a large covered terrace and even boat seating outdoors when the inside fills up in the evening.

I highly recommend this spot! Take a look around inside at all the Indiana Jones inspired paraphernalia - even the food and drinks will have familiar names to a true Indy fan.

And please, order the Cool-Headed Monkey. Thank me later.

When I first heard that the pool bar at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge was closing and being converted into a small salon, I was understandably concerned (I mean, poolside margaritas are important!). But since the absolutely fantastic Geyser Point Bar & Grill is just steps away, I decided to give the powers that be the benefit of the doubt and try it out. I booked a pedicure this morning, and could not have been happier with the results!

The location is small - just two pedicure chairs, a couple of nail stations and one salon chair - but they are equipped for hair, makeup, nails, pedicure AND princess makeovers for both kids and kids at heart. Because it’s so small, it feels extra special and you get lots of attention from the Cast Members.

I was the only guest this morning, and they treated me like a queen. The pedicure was exquisite and lasted nearly two hours! It included a salt scrub, a moisturizing masque, a hot towel wrap and a foot and leg massage with a yummy body cream.

You get to customize your scrubs and creams with one of four Disney-inspired scents: Practically Perfect, Te Fiti, Fantasia or Bare Necessities. I went with Te Fiti; it smelled like coconut and plumeria and was delightful.

There are four other salon locations at Walt Disney World in addition to Salon at the Springs: one at Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, one at Yacht & Beach Club Resort, one at Saratoga Springs and one at Coronado Springs Resort.

I highly recommend all their services, and here’s a great tip: book a princess makeover or a Character Couture makeover (the latter is for adults). It’s a very personalized experience done by trained and certified salon professionals, and the results are so much more fantastic than Bibiddi Bobiddi Boutique! Your Key to the World Travel Planner can book these and all other salon and spa services for you.
