Silvery clouds peeled back this morning to reveal wet dunes and fresh snow on the mountains. After rain, patterns appear from various layers and types of sand that dry at different rates. Sharply ridged 'Chinese Walls' are also visible on the crests of each dune, formed from reversing wind directions. The dunes' ever-changing light and textures are another inspiring aspect of this diverse park and preserve!
