Best Friend Express

The Best Friend Express currently operates three fixed routes serving Aiken, North Augusta and the "valley" area in between. The Best Friend Express is a fixed-route bus system serving Aiken County.

The Best Friend Express has been in operation since 1990, and during the last year provided over 25,000 passenger trips. 43% of the passengers on the service are older adults or people with disabilities. Many other passengers use the service to access work, education and shopping. There is also a special service that operates within a 3/4 mile radius of the Best Friend Express routes which serves people with disabilities that prevent them from accessing or riding the fixed-route bus.
