Emerging beside craggy mountains and the glistening Lake Sarmiento in Torres del Paine National Park, Tierra Patagonia weaves itself into the landscape with subtle style, blending into the magnificence of the region. Here in this untamed part of the world, what you see at our adventure spa hotel is emerald lakes, fantastic mountain ranges and abundant wildlife.

Tucked away at the southernmost tip of the Americas, Patagonia is a windswept land of pampas, the last peaks of the jagged Andes before they plunge into the ocean, and a place of epic mystique. Here, the wind howls incessantly with inclement weather, but the vistas of glaciers, fjords, and soaring condors is truly like no other.

From outstanding scenery to picturesque villages and dramatic wildlife, there's so much to experience: the vibrant cultural scene in cosmopolitan Santiago, Parque Torres del Paine in Patagonia, the wooden churches on the island of Chiloé, the colorful port of Valparaiso (a UNESCO World Heritage site), the stunning altiplanic lagoons in northern Chile, the flowering desert in spring, Easter Island and its Moai, and, of course, winetasting in the central valley.

Chile extends like a backbone down the southwest Pacific coast of South America, a chiseled line of mountains and volcanoes clinging to the edge of the continent. The fantastical geography, nearly 2,600 miles from north to south (that’s the same distance as Boston to Los Angeles) covers over thirty latitudes and a myriad of climates ranging from deserts to glacial fields, temperate rain forests, Alpine terrain, and Mediterranean heartland. With its many latitudes, Chile is a year-round destination. Warm temps peak during the South American summer, November to March, but spring and fall are also delightful with minimal rainfall and sunny days.

GALLO PINTO (COSTA RICAN BEANS AND RICE) - Traditionally served with breakfast alongside fried or scrambled eggs, Gallo Pinto is a hearty and delicious traditional Costa Rican dish. It’s a cinch to prepare, too!

COVID-19: Airlines And OTAs Say, ‘Don’t Call Us’ As Travel Agents Come To The Rescue

If you or anybody you know needs advice with their existing or upcoming travel arrangement(s), please feel free to invite them to like this page and/ or reach out via messenger and we are happy to look into it and help if we can.

While airlines, hotel companies, and online travel agencies (OTAs) are telling customers, “Don’t call us, we can’t handle the volume of calls,” and in some cases disconnecting callers after hours on hold, consumers who use traditional travel agents are not only getting advice. They’re getting rescued. They are getting rebooked. They’re getting home.

Manuel Antonio National Park and the nearby town of Quepos are located on the Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. The rich biodiversity of this area, coupled with a wealth of activities make this a destination that offers something for everyone. It’s easy to spend your entire holiday in this area of the country! Manuel Antonio is the premier destination of the Central Pacific region offering a variety of small intimate hotels artistically built into a rainforest hillside between town and the popular Manuel Antonio National Park.

From our airline consolidator and thought it was worth sharing: Rules from the major airlines in regards to refunds/ e-credits and waivers in light of the continuous flight cancellations. You can view the high resolution version here: https://www.wunderbartravel.com/airline.html

Nestled within the tropical vegetation at the foot of Arenal Volcano National Park, the award-winning Nayara Resort’s 50 hillside bungalows offer luxurious respite after a morning spent hiking, rafting, zip-lining, canyoning, or indulging in any number of other outdoor adventures the area is famous for. All of the freestanding deluxe casitas and villas feature pristinely polished dark-wood floors, wraparound decks with hammocks and two-person Jacuzzis, gardens with outdoor showers, and views of either the volcano or jungle canopy. At day’s end, lounge in the pool with a piña colada from the swim-up bar, or retreat to the open-air spa, perched above a lush ravine, to indulge in a volcanic-mud massage.

If marketing experts could draw up an ideal destination, Costa Rica might be it. The 'rich coast' has earned its name and stands apart from its Central American neighbors on the cutting edge of so many trends: surfing, farm-to-table restaurants, and sustainable tourism. Expect to see gorgeous orchids, colorful birds and butterflies, howler monkeys, and maybe even the elusive margay, a spotted nocturnal cat that lives in the rain forest.

Since we all can't travel at the moment, how about making some of the dishes from our favorite vacation destinations at home?

Starting today with the "Keshi Yena" which is a main dish in Curacao and Aruba. Consisting of a large round ball of cheese stuffed with spiced meat or vegetables.

The Pantanal, Brazil - Explore an under-the-radar wildlife region that’s home to South America’s top predator: the jaguar. the Pantanal region, 1,500 miles south, is the world’s largest freshwater wetland and has the highest density of wildlife on the continent. Spanning more than 68,000 square miles, this UNESCO World Heritage site encompasses floodplains and rivers, grasslands and forests, and lakes and mountains. It’s all habitat for a staggering number of endemic species, including jaguars, hyacinth macaws, giant anteaters, marsh deer, capybaras, caimans, and tapirs.

First day of spring! Looking forward to more sunshine!

Baoase Luxury Resort is an intimate spot with fewer than two-dozen rooms. Despite its size, however, it has all the amenities of a larger property, including a spa, health center, boutique, and more. A 10-minute drive from the center of Willemstad, the Balinese-style spot feels secluded and tranquil, especially when swimming off the lagoon-like beach or sitting next to the banyan tree in the lantern-lit garden.

Curaçao is a small island (around 170 square miles) located about 40 miles off the north coast of Venezuela. Culturally diverse, with influences from Europe, Indonesia, and West Africa, Curaçao is home to approximately 150,000 residents. UNESCO has the recognized capital city, Willemstad, as a World Heritage Site, and the brightly colored buildings are one of the country's most recognizable features. Curaçao has three official languages: Dutch, Papiamentu, and English. Tourism is a key industry, and the island capitalizes on the concept of dushi, which means sweet, nice, or good.

Coronavirus Travel Restrictions, Across the Globe

Here is the latest update on the travel restrictions and travel bans around the world.

nytimes.com Nations across the world have imposed travel restrictions to curb the spread of the coronavirus. Here, the current list of countries limiting entry.

Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia - The world’s largest salt desert, located in Bolivia’s high-altitude plateau, is becoming a luxury outpost. May is the best time to go, with the end of the wet season and the beginning of the dry season it is an ideal month to visit: The flats, located in southwest Bolivia, are more accessible, and thanks to the mix of sunny and rainy days, travelers may be able to see the salt flats both dry and when they are flooded, which creates the surreal mirror effect captured in countless photos.

You will board Le Lapérouse in Malé, the capital of the Maldives. Those island specks scattered across the warm, blue waters of the Indian Ocean, transport you to a marvellous and infinitely beautiful world. The archipelago counts some 1,200 islets and 19 atolls protected by coral reefs, offering travellers their transparent waters, home to millions of brightly coloured fish.

While snorkelling or scuba diving, you will have the chance to observe the magnificence of the marine life, which includes coral, whale sharks, manta rays and sea turtles.

At the heart of the archipelago, discover Baa Atoll. This exceptional site, listed as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve since 2011, is a perfectly preserved tropical paradise. The fifty-odd islets that make up the atoll offer visitors long stretches of white sand and beaches with crystal-clear water, lined with palm trees.

In regards to the Europe Travel Ban:

Can U.S. Citizens come home early?
YES, there is a waiver for free changes. This is based on airline availability.

Will travelers be put into quarantine upon arrival/return?
As of the latest news, no. Only if they are returning from Level 3 Territories (Italy, China, South Korea, Iran).

How long will the European ban last?
30 days.

When does this start?
As of March 13 at 12:00 a.m.

Can you still travel to Europe as a U.S. Citizen?

Can you get a refund for your tickets?
If the originally scheduled flight is canceled, there may be an opportunity to get a full refund. Most airlines are still processing free changes. Non-refundable tickets are still non-refundable.

The travel ban applies to E.U. Citizens and not U.S. Citizens
(WASHINGTON) Today President Donald J. Trump signed a Presidential Proclamation, which suspends the entry of most foreign nationals who have been in certain European countries at any point during the 14 days prior to their scheduled arrival to the United States. These countries, known as the Schengen Area, include Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland. This does not apply to legal permanent residents, (generally) immediate family members of U.S. citizens, and other individuals who are identified in the proclamation. The dive sites scattered around the Maldives are some of the best in the world, teeming with underwater life and vibrant coral—and boasting excellent visibility. Banana Reef, a North Male Atoll spot that owes its name to its curved shape, was one of the first places to put the Maldives on the map for divers. The protected marine area is marked by cliffs and overhangs, sheltering the barracudas, snappers, and groupers below. The reef is also set up for snorkeling, and even those swimming near the surface will be able to see schools of fish, sharks, and manta rays.

Situated on its own coral island just a 25-minute speedboat ride from the airport, this independent boutique hotel is ideal for travelers who wish to pair the all-out luxury of a tropical getaway with the rewards of total immersion. One of the highlights of a stay here is the opportunity to participate in the on-site Marine Centre’s educational programs: Join the resort’s resident biologist on a guided snorkeling tour (night owls might prefer the glow-in-the-dark excursion) or embark on a nature walk that surveys the property’s native flora and fauna. To protect its surrounding reefs, Baros employs a variety of eco-friendly practices, from using recycled water to irrigate the garden and LED lighting to state-of-the-art water heating and air conditioning systems, but there’s nothing granola about the villas, which come with rain showers, plunge pools, and 24-hour butlers. Order fresh-caught specialties from the resort’s three restaurants in-room or head outside for more romantic private dining experiences, including sunset meals aboard a traditional sailboat as well as dinners for two on a secluded sandbank or a sheltered deck in the middle of the sea.

Hugged by the Indian Ocean, the Maldives is made up of nearly 1,200 tropical islands. Of these, only 200 are inhabited full-time; hotels and resorts hold down the others. Each island is sprinkled with palms, ringed by glorious beaches, and blessed with catch-your-breath sunsets. Visitors most often land in Malé, the tiny capital, before being whisked to their resort hideaways. Once settled there, guests usually find world-class amenities, opulent dining, and a sense of deep tranquility that can only be found in such a secluded paradise.

Melting snow and blooming trees mark the beginning of spring in British Columbia. Bears come out of hibernation, orcas and humpbacks start their migration north, and restaurants brim with spring seafood (salmon, halibut, spot prawns) and foraged treats (spruce tips, fiddlehead ferns). This island—which has the capital city, Victoria, and the wood-shingled surf town Tofino—packs a lot into its 12,000 square miles. In Tofino, where travelers can surf and kayak, there are new additions to the town’s flourishing culinary scene, such as the Tofino Distillery and the vegan restaurant Bravocados, and new suites at the Pacific Sands Resort.

Canouan Island, St. Vincent and the Grenadines -
Quiet and unspoiled, this Caribbean island offers comforts far from the crowds. This hook-shaped speck of sand surrounded by turquoise waters is harder to get to than other Caribbean islands, but that’s the appeal. On the five-square-mile island, there’s not much to do beyond snorkeling the coral reef, relaxing in the sun loungers on Godahl Beach, or paddleboarding at Shell Beach.
