หน้าที่: Welcome everyone to assist in English, art, music, theater, sports, swimming, medical or any talent to benefit children. Reach out to people to contribute their valuable time, talent, and expertise that bring unforgettable moments and a heartwarming and rewarding experience for all participants. Contribute to the rural communities and motivate the local children, families and villagers to get to know the outside world through cultural exchange, hope, strength and joy. Continue our mission to run our programs for our children's children's children. Our promise to support the community Assist the local community through teaching primarily (but not exclusively) English, a skill in high demand in rural Thailand, due to the opportunities it can bring about. Promote education and various kinds of vocational training are much needed in Thailand, especially in the rural areas and for unprivileged youngsters. Through education, children and villagers feel empowered and get motivated to get to know the outside world. Education projects have a special impact on Thai youth as they represent a motivation to study more and to acquire experience at international level. Encouraged participants to organize various fun and informal teaching activities and to promote outdoor learning through games and activities in the garden. Expand our existing space where the children can learn while being themselves, having fun and feeling safe and comfortable. Community support and development works like, construction, renovation, and general labour depending on the needs of the village. Participants will experience a cultural exchange, have fun (sanuk) together and learn more about each other's cultures and set a good basis for future activities. Work with schools, governments, charities or any affiliate groups that share a similar mission. Main floor have access ramps and larger doors for people with mobility issues. Our promise to sustain the environment We currently have installed three (3) x One thousand (1,000) liter tanks that first filter grey water from the bathroom and kitchen sinks by use of bio balls and other organic materials. This recycled water is then used to water our mango, lime and rice field located directly behind our property. Rain water when available is being channeled into concrete holding wells for use during the dry season. All washroom toilet waste goes directly into a holding tank that is pumped out when full. All of the lights at our facility are energy saving and the appliances are a 5 out of 5 rating as indicated by the manufacturer for energy efficiency. We do our very best to go through the facility to ensure all unnecessary lights are turned off. The use of fans over air conditioning is recommended to guests when ever possible. Air conditioners are serviced and cleaned on a regular basis to ensure they are running effectively. Guests are asked to re-use their bathroom towels more than once if they feel comfortable to do so. Drying of all home and guesthouse laundry is simply hung outside to dry during the day. Installation of glass block in almost every room and outside wall will save electricity use as the light from one location is shared with at least one other. The need to turn on lights from room to room at night has almost been eliminated. We use as many LED garden lights at night and our future goal is to have solar power. We have made application for recommendations in making our location as self sufficient as possibly within our budget. PRODUCTS Voluntour Project (T): Assisting in local temple schools in rural communities by improving their English language skills. Participants will exchange ideas while studying the Thai cultures, lifestyles, traditions, staying and involving themselves with the daily life of villagers. Individuals are needed to assist the local community through teaching mostly English, which is a skill in high demand in the rural areas Thailand. These areas usually do not have the funding to pay for fully qualified English teachers. Knowing a second language such as English gives locals here many opportunities. Vocational training and other forms of education are much needed in Thailand, especially for the unprivileged youngsters in rural areas. We mainly focus our attention on primary and secondary school students as well as villagers and adults who would like to learn English. Education empowers, motivates and gives confidence to people to discover what the world has to offer. We encourage fun and informal teaching activities and are currently working on our own outdoor learning facility. It is important for children to have a safe place to have fun, be themselves and learn through different activities inside and out with our volunteers. Life for many children in Thailand can be difficult. Volunteers show that there are people who care and can make a difference. Thailand Teach http://goo.gl/JFJDwQ http://www.volunteerinn.net/

Loy Krathong 2018 - November 22 in Thailand

On the full moon of the 12th month of the Thai lunar calendar, when the moon shines at night, it makes rivers clear. It is very beautiful scenery which is suitable for people gathering to float their krathong.

The word loy (or loi) means to float, whilst krathong are small rafts or baskets. Traditionally made from banana leaves or the bark of a banana tree, the krathongs usually contain a candle, incense and lotus flowers.

The candle is lit and the krathong is placed on the nearest stretch of water. It is believed that the krathong carries away bad luck and signals a fresh start and many people make wishes as their krathong gently floats away.

Nothing tests your knowledge like a crossword puzzle. But did you know the format of a crossword puzzle can be an effective teaching tool, too?

Using this tool, children and teens can solve ready-made puzzles designed around grade-appropriate topics. Solving a crossword puzzle can teach new words, the meanings of those words, and how to spell them. They also can jump into the driver's seat and create their own puzzles. Choosing their own topics and mapping out their own puzzles develops big-picture thinking. To create a puzzle from scratch, children and teens must demonstrate deeper knowledge of the topic and the words that will serve as the puzzle's answers. Coming up with clues sharpens communication skills. It's an art to write a clue that gives just a hint, but enough for someone to say, “Aha! I know the answer to 1 down!”

Have a moment to explore the benefit of assisting others?

Being a positive influence takes only a moment and inspires others.
https://youtu.be/u7PqkMu9hVM

A kind voice, gesture and smile makes a day better for everyone. :)

As communal creatures, we all crave belonging. Feeling understood and integral among a wide variety of people creates connections that make our lives complete. At our core, each of us is searching for those connections.

Acceptance and affinity are especially important in the classroom, where each student’s social and emotional development directly impacts their academic achievement. Feelings of community and collaboration make learning meaningful for all, and this sense of shared significance is at the heart of a concept called benefit mindset.

Benefit mindset takes the strong seeds of self-belief and self-improvement that growth mindset sows and brings them to fruition in ways that enhance not only one’s own life but the lives of others as well. According to benefit mindset theorist Ash Buchanan, it is “a purpose-driven mindset that is redefining success from being the best in the world, to being the best for the world.” Examining how our attitudes and actions affect others leads us to make conscious and conscientious decisions based on mutual advantage.

Teaching empathy is only a first step. As schools and colleges increasingly require evidence of student service and leadership, we can transform what may begin as extracurricular obligations into enthusiastic, everyday acts of altruism. Without explicit examples and frequent feedback, however, students may be unclear about how to turn their mindsets into action.

Here are four ways teachers can inspire their students to act in ways that break down the divisions between me and we, as students simultaneously become an asset to themselves, to others, and to this planet we share.

ENCOURAGING INCLUSION: NO STUDENT EATS ALONE
Implement a school-wide program to ensure that every student feels welcomed and accepted. Recruit established groups of friends in each grade level to roam the campus looking for classmates who are alone, especially during lunch and recess. These Friendship Ambassadors should invite isolated or withdrawn students to eat or play with them beginning the next day.

After any necessary introductions are made, the Friendship Ambassadors hand out written invitations to lonely students in their grade. These invitations include the ambassadors’ names, where they gather during break times, and some of their common interests. This way, hesitant students have an entire day to prepare for joining a new peer group, rather than immediately being coaxed into an unfamiliar social situation.

If an invited student does not meet up with the group the next day, the ambassadors return with a warm reminder that he or she has an open invitation to hang out with them. When every student finds a sense of place and belonging, the resulting shift in school culture is remarkable.

PROVIDING PEER SUPPORT: THE BENEFIT OF MY EXPERIENCE
Enlist your students from the previous school year to become academic assistants for your current students. Don’t choose just your hotshots, because every former student—even those who weren’t quite successful last year—has some expertise about how to achieve in your class. Allow every student to share their strengths, and even your once less-than-stellar students will take their mentorship roles seriously.

Right along with the students they are coaching, the peer tutors also benefit from this academic help: Confidence and capabilities increase for both the givers and receivers of this classroom insider advice.

EMPOWERING CHANGE MAKERS: STUDENTS ACTING LOCALLY

Ask your students to identify aspects of your classroom and the school as a whole that would benefit from an alteration or addition. Possibilities include shifting to flexible seating, planning and carrying out a library makeover, starting a recycling program, providing peer mediation, planting a garden, providing nutritious meals and snacks, planning school spirit activities, and starting new clubs or a school newspaper.

Allowing students to propose, plan, and enact change teaches them that they can be agents of improvement.

EMPHASIZING THE POSITIVE: EVERYDAY HEROES REPORT

Create a structured routine where students write and read aloud news reports that exclusively feature noble deeds they have witnessed on campus. Students ask permission to use the names of those whose honorable acts they wish to share and also ask for the humanitarians’ comments. If permission is not given, these stories can be reported without using names.

These short narratives can be read to your class or read over the PA during morning announcements. This is a wonderful way to begin each day and sets a precedent for further acts of kindness. Presenting young people with reliable role models is crucial, and appreciating the good deeds of others is yet another way of extending the impact of a benefit mindset.

Acting with a benefit mindset is not something students put on one Saturday a month for two hours as a grudging act of service—it is a way of being, a way of well-being, that yields powerful results inside and outside of the classroom.
