The Kalasha or Kalash, are a Dardic Indo-Aryan indigenous people residing in the Chitral District of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.
They are also considered to be Pakistan's smallest ethnoreligious group and traditionally practice a religion which some authors characterise as a form of animism, while academics classify it as "a form of ancient Hinduism".

شنگریلا ۔۔۔ لوسٹ ہورائزن

کیا آپ کو معلوم ہے شنگریلا اصل میں ایک ناول کی وجہ سے وجود میں آئی۔
شنگری لا ، سکردو کے قریب لوئرکچورا جھیل کے کنارے ایک ریزرٹ جس کا نام جیمز ہِلٹن کے ناول "لوسٹ ہورائزن "شنگری لا" سے لیا گیا ہے ۔
شنگری لا بلتستان کی پہچان ہے جو کہ تبتی زبان کا لفظ ہے اور اِس کےمعنی “ درّہ کے پار ایک جنت" ہے۔

1983 میں شنگریلا کے مالک برگیڈئیر اسلم خان مرحوم نے اس ریزارٹ ہوٹل کی بنیاد رکھی جو کہ اسکرو کی پہلی ریزارٹ ہوٹل بنی ۔ یہاں کی خاص بات یہ ہے کہ یہاں اورینٹ کا ایک طیارہ ریسٹورنٹ کی شکل میں موجود ہے جوکہ یہاں قریب ہی کریش ہوا تھا۔ برگیڈئیر وہ جہازیہاں لے آئے، یاد رہے کہ پی آئی سے پہلے یہاں اورینٹ ائیر لائینز کے جہاز آتے تھے۔
اس ریزورٹ ہوٹل کا نام شنگریلا کیسے پڑا ، تو یہ کہنا غلط نہ ہوگا کہ برگیڈئیر اسلم خان مرحوم نے یہ ناول پہلے ہی پڑھ رکھا تھا اور اُنہونے اس ناول کو زندہ کیا ہے،

جیمز ہلٹن ایک برطانوی ناول نگار ہیں جنہونے 1933 میں ایک ناول لکھا جس کا نام لوسٹ ہورائزن ہے۔ جس میں ایک جہاز کریش ہوتا ہے ،لیکن مسافر صحیح سلامت محفوظ رہتے ہیں اور اُس کے بعد وہ جس مقام پر پناہ لیتے ہیں وہ شنگریلا ہوتی ہے۔

جیمز ہلٹن نے لوسٹ ہوائزن کے علاوہ اور بھی بہت سارے مشہور ناولز لکھیں جس میں سے

جہاز کریش ہونے کے بعد ، رُکنے کے بعد معلوم ہوا کہ سب مسافر خیریت سے تھے، پائلٹ زخمی تھا اور مرتی حالت میں مسافروں سے کہتا گیا کہ پاس ہی ایک مقام ہے شنگریلا کے نام سے ، وہاں چلے جاؤ محفوظ رہوگے۔وہ لوگ وہاں ایک درے کے پار شنگریلا نامی جگہ جاتے ہیں اور اُسے آباد کرتے ہیں۔
وہاں جاکر ناول کے کرداروں نے تو اپنی جنت، اپنی شنگریلا بنا لی۔ اور ہنسی خوشی رہنے لگ گئے۔

لیکن تصویروں میں جنت کا ٹکڑا شنگریلا اپنا ہے، یہ میرے ملک پاکستان کی شنگریلا ہے۔

Lower Kachura Lake (Urdu: لوؤر کچورا جھیل‎), also known as Shangrila Lake(Urdu: شنگریلا جھیل‎) is located in Kachura village in Skardu city at a height of 2,500 metres (8,200 ft). The lake is also known as Shangrila lake after a resort built on its bank in 1983.

Altit Fort (Urdu: قلعہ التیت‎) is an ancient fort at Altit town in the Hunza valley in Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan. It was originally home to the hereditary rulers of the Hunza state who carried the title Mir, although they moved to the somewhat younger Baltit fort nearby three centuries later. Altit Fort and in particular the Shikari tower is around 1100 years old,which makes it the oldest monument in the Gilgit–Baltistan. The fort has received the UNESCO Asia Pacific Heritage Award for Cultural Heritage Conservation in 2011.

Lulusar Lake also spelled as Lulusir is a lake at 3,410 m (11,190 ft), is the primary headwaters of the Kunhar River. It flows southwest through the entire length of Kaghan Valley passing Jalkhand, Naran, Kaghan, Jared, Paras and Balakot until its confluence with the Jhelum River. It is located about 287 kilometres (178 mi) away from Naran and is accessible by any kind of vehicle.

Lulusar (Urdu: لالو سر‎), or Lalusar, is group of mountain peaks and a lake in the Kaghan Valley in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.

The Hunza valley is situated at an elevation of 2,438 meters (7,999 feet). For many centuries, Hunza has provided the quickest access to Swat and Gandhara for a person traveling on foot.[clarification needed] The route was impassable to baggage animals; only human porters could get through, and then only with permission from the locals.

Most of the people of Hunza are Ismaili Muslims. The local language is Brushuski, although Urdu and English are also widely understood.
