Natural Beauty.. ❤️ 🕉 🇲🇺
The Sacred lake of Grand Bassin is located on the central highland rising to approximately 1800 feet above sea level. It is also called the ‘Ganga Talao’ in the Hindi Language.
It’s believed by the Hindu community that the holy water in lake has a connection with the Indian River Ganga (Ganges). Several devotees are found praying to Hindu deities, offering fruits and lights scent incense, creating a spiritual atmosphere in the calm and tranquil surrounding.
The Hanuman Statue is located on the top of the hill with a fairly long climb but offers a rewarding view overlooking the sacred lake and stunning views of the island. 🕉️ 🇲🇺

TIEN TAN CHINESE PAGODA 🇲🇺️😍⛩️😍 Tien Tan Chinese Pagoda is located on the foothills of the ‘Signal Mountain’ in the Capital city of Port-Louis. The exact construction of the pagoda remains unknown but the structure was possibly originally built around 1960s.
Mauritians of Chinese origin, also known as Sino-Mauritians, are Mauritians who trace their ethnic ancestry to China. Sino-Mauritians form about 3% of the local population.
The region between the two ‘friendship gates’ on royal street forms the centre of Port Louis China Town. A short visit is a wonderful opportunity to discover more about the Chinese culture that still reflects the past history with traditional small shops selling groceries, old buildings, and pagodas.
“Trou Aux Cerf” dormant volcano🌋 😍
A much loved part of the city with stunning views, a visit to Trou aux Cerfs, the extinct volcano is a must as it overlooks the town of Curepipe and dominates the view over the island. This huge volcanic crater reveals the existence of the paradise island that was formed a million years ago and is approximately 85 metres in depth and 200 meters wide.
Unwind Mauritius recommend to take a walk around the crater to enjoy the beautiful panoramic views.
